Saudi woman to get 10 lashes for driving a car

There is no outcry from that torch carrier of human rights. Why americans are so quite. Because they are complicit and freinds of saudi royal family

if the law of the land says that women cant drive for whatever reason...then the law should be followed by residents of the country......end of.

Then why don't the muslim women who wear burqa follow these laws in countries where burqas are banned? Don't be so hypocritical.

America also justify extra judicial killings of innocent Palestinians...so they are no champs of human rights...look at Guantanamo jail..Abu ghraib jail...drone strikes in Pakistan ..n If law of a country is being violated thn citizens of tht country shud get punishment coz the laws are already dere and they shud abide them IMO its not barbaric...she broke the law shez getting punishment for tht ...its as simple as tht

says you from UK lol where 1 in 4 women are victims of domestic violance according to amnesty international estimates. Sadly women are oppressed even today all over the world in all countries.
What has the UK got to do with anything? This thread is not about them. I think the oppression in SA is on a new level, as the article shows.

P.S don't say 'lol' it makes you sound like a 13 year old girl on MSN.

Jamie

This thread is about women being treated poorly. In England its also terrible. On saturday a lady in the local hospital had had her front teeth knocked out by her husband for not keeping the children quiet! Terrible. Lets hope whether its Saudi or the UK it gets stamped out
Jamie we are now aware why you have not been present for the last few days showering us with your breathtaking bulls*it.
You have been chatting to 13 year olds on msn. Please make sure their parents are aware about what you are up to. I would hate to see you being involved with doing something disgraceful. Be careful of publicising this sort of activity and telling all on a forum. We got brilliant police here and they will track you down like a rocket mate via your IP address.
Anyway have a great evening WHATEVER you decide to do.

oh you mean the french who say women can cover their hair?
because its offensive for pervy men.....?
well yes i am entitled to chose which side i am.on...thats no hypocracy.

I guess in solidarity with this Saudi lady we should post pictures of ladies driving in all other Islamic countries to prove the Saudis that Islam is not against driving by women. Good Idea, no?

Prophet Muhammad used to camel race with Aisha.

What a strange land Saudi is. Well, it is their country, their culture and their laws. Me? No thanks!

^^^i dont think saudi law has anything to do with shariah.more of a tribal tradition...
and a matter of road safety as women are generly bad drivers.
