Saudi pilot test drive JF-17/FC-1: Saudi Air Force may purchase in bulk

Saudi Arabia is looking words East for investment and military hardware diversification. If Saudi Arabia is restricted (by USA) not to buy anything from Pakistan, then they can become part owners of the project and it will be their own platform.

When there is a will, there is a way.

I would take this with a bucket of salt. This post pulwama incident is making Pakistanis behave like Indians I.e they kill a crow and it is Surgical Strike 2.0, killed 30,000 jihadis and India has become a super power 3.0.

Let's be realistic, arabs love western goods and I dont see that changing anytime soon especially as they have the $$$$

Replacement for their Panavia Tornado?
Sanctions free Platform and Weapons System.
They can Install a whole Assembly line and Manufacturing of Weapons at home.

Sounds too good to be True

If this is the case, the production capacity of the Pakistan Aviation Consortium may not meet the needs of all parties. As far as I know, if Myanmar, Nigeria, Azerbaijan, and Saudi Arabia want to buy, the production capacity shall meet the needs of all parties.

I also think that Saudi Arabia may not want to buy, Saudi Arabia still wants to buy F16 (although the US arms sales regulations are extremely demanding, parts supply will be subject to strict sanctions and restrictions), Saudi military budget is sufficient, JH-17 is high efficiency and low price Masterpiece.
Block 3 will be unresistable.

JF-17's air frame avionics and weapons are Chinese Pakistani while engine from Russia.
All of these nations are Saudi friends and allies..the procurement of the JF-17 Block 3 is just a question of time..it was a promise a few years back and KSA always keeps its promises.. A first batch of 48 aircraft is a big possibility..
