Islamabad: Saudi Arabia will soon join the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project (CPEC) to build on the brotherly ties with Islamabad, the country's envoy has said here.

Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Ahmed Al-Malkiy said his country will invest in Gwadar Port for the 'prosperity of Pakistanis'.

He also said that Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman had agreed to boost trade ties during their recent talks.
Al-Malkiy said both the nations share brotherly relations and their latest endeavour in CPEC would further strengthen their bonds, The News reported.

He also said that former Pakistan army chief General (Retd) Raheel Sharif's appointment as head of the 39-nation Islamic military coalition is aimed at enhancing its capabilities to fight terror and not directed at anyone.

My understanding is that Chinese will be heavily involved in the upcoming Saudi Aramco IPO. Link this news to Chinese trading oil in gold back yuan, it will all start to make sense.

I think it's confirmed, SaudiProject on twitter stated that Saudi Arabia will strongly invest in this project.

Nice one Bro. The map is showing kashmir as part of Pakistan. :pakistan:

just talk, it would have meaning if Saudis invest the amount they just invested in uber or fox news(which is 20 billion dollars each)

Why is this even a surprise?

Although as scrutiny as it is achieving. This routine announcements would be helpful if people just attach a couple of projects as well.

Helps in calming the crowd in Pakistan and spares the big debates.

But good.

With so much investments pouring in to Pakistan. We definitely need proper legislature dealing with it.
