Saudi Arabia stressed on Tuesday that Israeli violations in Palestinian territories will obstruct international efforts to achieve peace.

The Kingdom’s permanent representative to the Arab League Bader bin Saud Al-Toraifi Al-Shammari said: “Stemming from its constant stance on the Palestinian cause, Saudi Arabia condemns the Israeli violations in Palestine and its attacks against unarmed civilians.”

He made his remarks before an extraordinary Arab League meeting in Cairo that was aimed at addressing the Palestinian cause.

He stressed the need for the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian people.

Shammari said that Riyadh rejects the decisions by some countries to relocate their embassies in Israel to Jerusalem.

Such a step shows great bias against the Palestinian people’s historic rights and international resolutions that recognize their rights, he added.

Brazil's president-elect Jair Bolsonaro announced in November his intention to move his country's embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

On Saturday Australia announced its recognition of west Jerusalem as Israel's capital, although a contentious embassy shift from Tel Aviv will not occur until a peace settlement is achieved.

Even if Saudi Arabia's and the OIC's stance on Palestine is principled, the Palestine cause is lost.

USA is too powerful in this day and age.
The Palestinian cause will not be lost..Muslims waited for almost a 100 years to kick out the crusaders from Jerusalem..

If it took a hundred years to kick out the crusaders, we wouldn't be alive to see Israel disappear., or we will be extremely old by that time if we are still around.

I think two state solution with West Jerusalem being Palestine's capital is the only solution to the problem.

But here is the catch, what makes us think Israel is going to give up land it won through conquest?

It does not matter..as it is a question of time..and shifting of power.. but Iknow it might be more difficult this time.. although seeing what a determined group with minimum support like ISIS or Daesh can do to a country..every possibility is still on the table..

That is what the Muslim nations and the UN want..
As for the fact that Usrael got the land through conquest..well, it did so with Sinai too and it was literally forced to give it up.. by force and through diplomacy.. So nothing is really impossible..

Yes but by giving up Sinai Israelis cleverly won a diplomatic victory by making peace with the Egyptians!

So who are stupid? The Israeli leaders or the Egyptian leaders?

No one was stupid.. it was a Win/Win situation and no one is asking for more in the Palestinian case..
(* note that when talking about Usrael..one, in reality, is talking about the US and most of the Western world ..)

Agreed with you bro.

But still look at how Jordan and Egypt made peace with Israel? Your views on that.

As you can see, that peace treaty has provided_not only Usrael_ but both Egypt and Jordan with great opportunities, peace and stability that could not happen in a permanent state of war.. Egypt got weapons and technologies it could not dream about while staying in the Eastern block, Jordan too got some not bad advantages..as for Syria who refused to sign the peace treaty, as well as Iraq.. well, there is no comment concerning what has happened to them..these were all what we call the "front nations" facing Usrael, so the smart ones got some benefits while the hardest ones got no benefits, but got literally destroyed! And do not get me wrong.. Egypt and Jordan's peace with Usrael stops at the word peace guaranteed by the US for both sides..plus its benefits for all parties involved, there is almost no trade or open markets or any such deep relations.. just peace and respect, with open diplomatic channels for communication..

Reminds of the 1857 Sepoy rebellion.

The Muslim states like Nizam of Hyderabad who sided with the British got good benefits, but those who rebelled were killed or destroyed. lol!
