Just watched the video. Nothing special. She was killed instantly. Not the executioners problem that she was hysteric and did not want to kneel down immediately.

Meanwhile thousands of such people (murderers, rapists etc.) are walking as free men and women in South Asia all while KSA has one of the lowest crime rates on the planet because there is zero tolerance for crimes in KSA.

P.S.: She was executed in a closed-off area. Most of the 80 or so yearly executions in KSA take place in areas intended for executions.

one point which mostly people neglect with Islamic Punishments , and that the impact of Punishment on Society as whole , imagine a person watching a person hand chop of for stealing, will think 1000 times before he do steal ... i cant even watch a beheading on video to be honest , so obviously i was living in a some pure Islamic country where this Punishment is implemented i would not go to extreme to kill anyone .. or think 10000000000000000 times before doing such , its all about punishing the guilty in way that he will be example for the society and others take heed who are thinking to commit and crime .. A video showed how it took three blows to complete the execution, while the woman screamed “I did not kill. I did not kill.”

This makes it sound like she was screaming after the first few strikes and was brutally tortured before dying, which is clearly not the case. In the US and other countries that have the capital punishment relatives of victims are also given the opportunity to witness the execution of the condemned.

I don't see a beheading with a sword as more "barbaric" than a lethal injection, gas chamber, hangings, firing squads etc. Executions are not supposed to be "civilized". They are supposed to punish criminals and deter crime. In KSA the crime levels are one of the lowest despite KSA being home to one of the most diverse and one of the biggest diasporas (migrants) groups in the world.

Why? Because people respect the law and are aware of the consequences if they cross the line.

Lastly nobody forces people to attend a public execution. There is a visible distance between the onlookers and the execution spot as well.

Anyway I respect that outsiders might think that beheadings with swords are "barbaric". I think that it is barbaric that you can get away with murder almost for free in the West. Differences of opinion.

That's another discussion altogether (valid point though) but this does not impact the average citizen in KSA who is more interested in living in a safe society and environment in a otherwise volatile region (his country being located right in the middle of the ME) than what some person on the internet on the other side of the planet thinks. His main concern, in this case, would be not to have a child-murderer and child-rapist looming around and killing and raping his 7 year old child the next time.

Besides there are strong indications that KSA will change the method of execution from beheading with sword to hangings or firing squads. Why? Because there are not enough of executioners. As I told this is a occupation that is mostly held by a few families, almost exclusively Afro-Arabs and inherited through father and son often or other male relatives. This is obviously not a "job" that anyone wants.

First of all he was barely a "cleric" to begin with and the lunatic is currently held in a psychiatric ward and likely never to get out. The guy was/is insane hence he cannot be executed but if I had to decide he would be gone too. Nothing to do with him being an national as KSA executes more nationals than non-nationals. No KSA's judiciary is far from perfect but which judiciary is perfect? Each year dozens of murderers escape punishment everywhere on the planet and innocents also get executed. Be it in the US or China. That's just how it is and will continue to be sadly.

Although nothing in this case points to her being innocent. Anyone feeling "sorry" for a child-murderer and child-rapist just because she is a woman need urgent help and should quit "preaching" here. Better take her to your country and pay for her prison expenses etc. Or just free her so she can rape and kill your family.
