The full burqa with the niqab ( face cover ) is not Islami but comes from a Jewish sect. An Egyptian member of parliament, Amna Nosseir, has researched on this and has called for a ban on the burqa :

As I have said before, the Egyptian woman has not only said but also researched. I am sure she has checked the hadith works also.

About my opinion on the hadith works : One must apply one's intellect in whether to believe a given statement or story.

As a moderator i encourage you to do serious research about it.

None of the Model women who muslims are commanded to copy in acts and ways of life ever covered their faces.

First wife of Mohammad PBUH khadijah RA.

Mother of Jesus PBUH
Daughter of Mohammad PBUH fatimah RA.

None of these women ever covered their faces. During speaches , while talking to men or women
Or while riding horses, camels etc. Face cover is unislamic and totally a cultral thing it has nothing to do with islam.


Not even a single place muslims christians or jews are commanded to hide ur faces or cover ur faces.

Everyone is free to do research but its very clear to me unless someone can prove it otherwise so far 25 people have tried and failed to prove it to me persinally.

They are very shocked when they cant prove it.

It is important to know what is true and what not.

Again I say that European governments have always favored those Muslim governments which promote the burqa and always enacted regime-change conspiracies in those Muslim-majority countries ( Example, Syria ) where the governments do not favor the burqa.

`Aisha used to say: "When (the Verse): "They should draw their veils over their necks and bosoms," was revealed, (the ladies) cut their waist sheets at the edges and covered their heads and faces with those cut pieces of cloth." (Bukhari 6:282 Chapter of Prophetic Commentary)

Maybe the Jews covered their faces - they also don't eat pork. Does it mean Islam shouldn't forbid pork because the jews did it?

The point is that the Hadith I quoted is from Al Bukhari's collection and considered one of the most authentic sources of Prophetic narrations in sunni islam.

Al bukhari had nothing to do with the Europeans or the Syrian Government.

The hadith quotes Ayesha r.a - the wife of RasulAllah pbuh about the face veil and when it started in Islam.

I don't see how anyone can say face veil has nothing to do with Islam when there is a very clear narration of the wife of Mohammad RasulAllah pbuh saying it is.

I'd actually be interested in your argument about how this isn't the case - granted you are also a Sunni Muslim.

I'm not arguing about whether niqab is obligatory or just Mustahab/encouraged - which I've heard legitimate learned scholars debate - I'm talking about the claim that it isn't Islamic to begin with.

Jews doing it doesn't make it unIslamic. That isn't considered a valid daleel in Islamic jurisprudence.

I don't see really see why 25 people weren't able to show you these unless they didn't know it themselves.

I apologise for doing so. I personally avoid it as well however, sometimes people make sweeping statements against stuff that I feel these need to be corrected as others who read the forum may be misled.

I don't argue with people about whether it is obligatory or not - it's just that when you have people saying this is unislamic, it causes problems for people who actually observe it in some countries.

That's how you get hijab bans and such in France and other places because some people keep saying these things are not Islamic.

Whether they are or aren't - so long as the person observing is doing it is doing it willingly what's the harm?

Pakistan went through the whole war on terror and alhamdulillah without banning women from niqab or beards - yet we have people advocating forceful banning of these because of security concerns.

I've seen how this sort of thing can make life hard for people who just want to get by. I know women who've had to face a lot problems because they wanted to wear niqab. Had people force it off of them. Even in Pakistan and in Muslim homes.

I don't support anyone forcing Muslim women to wear niqab or hijab through state laws and such - I don't understand why some Muslims are so adamant about banning it for women who want to do it. I don't understand why they want to take away the right of women to si it if they want to.

On top of it they use half baked knowledge of Islam - without having read the rules of deduction smd fiqh and the primary sources properly - they hold and propagate these opinions as facts that actually are used to hurt other people.
