That's simply not true. Aleppo was barrel bombed for years without any battle. In fact very little battle was inside Aleppo.

Arab Persian animosity dates up to the known written history Judaism, Christianity & Islam never ever resolved their mutual hostilities, without Islam I can bet you that Arabs and Perisans would have been divided in Catholic and Protestant groups and would have been doing the same as well see now.

yes this is the tragedy that our sentiments depend on who is the victim and who is the accused. State of Israel is allied with KSA and their policies are in line regarding the Iranian designs so we have a divided group where KSA , Israel and USA will highlight the human suffering at the hands of Asad and his allies inside Syria
while Russia and Iran will highlight the Yemen suffering which UN (for all its worth ) has termed as biggest humanitarian crises.

but our condolences and our outrage depends on which side we are supporting.

re justification
take the example of Palestinians & Lebanese that are paying the price of Nazi atrocities in Europe during WW2. every air or ground military strike by Israel is automatically justified which is as cruel and tragic as the atrocities faced by Jewish people across Europe during the Nazi era.
