RJAF and PAF were flying under a joint command. Flt. Lt. Saiful Azam became the only pilot from the Arab side to have shot down 3 IDF/AF aircraft within 72 hours and also the only pilot to have shot down 3 different aircraft types of the IDF/AF.

He was, subsequently, decorated by Jordan, Iraq, Syria and Pakistan.PAF pilots performed excellently and downed about 10 Israeli planes including Mirages, Mysteres, Vautours without losing a single pilot or single aircraft of their own

Thanks for the post. Saiful Azam is a pride of both Pakistan and Bangladesh. He is also a pride of all the muslim countries. Now-a-days here in BD we do not hear anything about him. I have heard that he has retired from BAF. Is he domiciled in Pakistan as another PAF ace pilot M.M. Alam also did. It is not unusual considering the situtaion in BD after 1971 and the mindset of its people. Young pilots in both Pakistan and Bangladesh will get inspirations from these two pilots.
