This morning a friend of mine came to my office for a coffee and during a chat he informed me that the EDL were having a meeting and march through an Indian / Pakistani area close to where i live and told me to pass the info on so women and kids stayed indoors as their may me trouble.
The EDL (English Defence League) can be described as a racist white group whose basic agenda is to remove all races that are not white out of England - a kind of keep England white group. They particularly detest people that are from the sub continent.
It wasnt a particularly interesting chat until he mentioned the fact an Indian chap will be the speaking and representing them telling us how and why he is a staunch supporter of EDL.
After doing some research i find the chaps name is Guramit Singh. Very surprised that in fact this guy is notorious for his race hatred speeches.
I remember a phrase i learn at school written by Martin Niemoller. Maybe someone should one day alert our Guramit Singh of the phrase it went like this:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I wish and hope that one day we all unite against every type of extremism.

Yeah that'll be him once the EDL are finished with him.

Gotta' admit, somewhat clever though - Getting a brown guy to represent them. What? They think they can't be called white supremacists now? They're not fooling anyone except for themselves and their ilk.

Every radical organization tries to get a veneer of respectability, but usually the society at large sees right through it. Worry not! :)

The BNP guy lost all, if any credibility after appearing in the Q Time, since then he seems to have gone into the oblivion.
As for Gurmit Singh, the comments under the video suffice to pay him the deserving rich tribute.
