What are you talking about? There is no mention of an "off-the-shelf" purchase of the PAK-FA by the IAF. Both your sources talk of the FGFA (or the PMF as you would like to call it) and they all say exactly what I've said. Do you even know what the FGFA is? It's an upgraded variant of the PAK-FA designed to carry Indian missiles and avionics.

Here's a timeline for you to understand the topic better.

Intergovernmental agreement on FGFA project signed in 2007

The 18-month PDC worth $295 million for the FGFA with Russia was inked in December 2010.

Prototype 1 in 2014.

Prototype 2, in 2017.

Protoype 3, in 2019.

Production at HAL to begin in 2020.

No induction by IAF before 2022.

It can't be made any simpler than that. If you feel the foregoing is incorrect you are entitled to your opinion. But if you are going to make a factual observation please present sources for your claims.

Claims such as:

Off-the-shelf purchase of the PAK-FA by the IAF.
Induction of the PAK-FA by the IAF in 2017.
Development of the FGFA(PMF) by HAL before 2019.
Induction of the FGFA(PMF) by the IAF before 2019.

Off the Shelf will still include Indian work and expertise.

If Russia getting Pak fa on 2016 then I think 2021 will be soo late. I believe we will start getting Russian variant from 2019 and FGFA will join us in the time frame you mentioned.

Nope.................we want fgfa with newer item 30 engines,it will take some time
average will be around 2020
