Russia to Conduct Joint Naval Exercises With Japan, India: Defense Ministry

I've got to be honest. Whenever someone mentions Japanese sailors, this is what pops into my head:

Not that I'm complaining :enjoy: On a slightly less pervy note, that is an interesting place to shop for gear... must be a purpose built tourist trap, maybe made specifically to attract the visiting Japanese sailors? Also, do you have any info on the participating assets from each nation?

Hahahaha. That's just so sexy. Ehem.

Did i mention any territorial claims? Nope. Russia and Japan are developing our defense relations and building our military communication channels. The picture shows the facet of our interexchange. We visit their military grave and honor their war dead; they also visit our military shrines and honor our war dead.

Take the picture at face value. Russo-Japanese cooperation and developing military ties.

In fact, I wish one day JMSDF ships and sailors to dock in say Dalian, Shanghai, Ningbo. ;)

Even if you dont menion but the underlying conflicts (territorial rights) are there and will never go away just because of these superficial drills no matter how many times these drills are to be conducted.

I guess it is you and your friend who are taking face values as fundamental policy changes So sad 8-)

Did you know that during the Cold War the US and USSR managed to maintain a trade and defense relationship? By doing so where they accepting a shift in their alignment towards each other? No, they were able to keep certain aspects of their relationship separate from their political, military and ideological debate. Why can't Japan join India and Russia for defense drills, even with existing tensions between two of the members? Has the tensions over Japan and Russia's competing territorial claims ever stopped their political, cultural and economic exchanges. Again the answer is no and all you need to do to validate this for yourself is to seek their past and present trade histories and defense dealings.

Next time, I want to see your carrier INS Vikramāditya with our Light Carrier JS Izumo, with notable battle group support ships.
Naah I would like to see our two carriers with two Kolkata class destroyers and two Delhi class destroyers backed by two heavy stealth frigates and three medium category stealth frigates. Two stealth corvettes and one SSN and one Jalashwa(water horse) with one SSK. Arial fleet supplemented by maritime Jaguar bomber and Su 30 Mki in at least 20 number quantity apart from the carrier embarked jets and helos on both carriers in Bay of Bengal to northern eastern Indian ocean. Other fleets from USN one CSG and one SSN at least with two frontline ships from Japanese navy and some units from Singapore and Austrailia. It will be grand opening for our maritime relation. And what I have stated is only lacking from Astrailian side. Others are more than interested in it. India has already naval stations in Andaman Maldieves Moritious, Syscilies and Oman. Thank you.

It is difficult to reason with a person who has nothing but revile and resentment for Japan and Japanese. Have you noticed that his posts always refers to historical qualms Japan has? When in reality, we're prepared to mend these.

You're hilarious. Dude, I've read your postings in an another thread; you're quite taken on mentioning our "5 invasions of China" arent' you? Here's a constructive criticism, @Keel-sama, learn to get past it. Its like getting over from a relationship where your gf broke up with you. Accept, Learn, Grow a pair, Move On.

So do you people expect Russia to give up their claims on the Islands?

No one will stop your drills just as much as no one can stop China's drills with anyone on the planet 8-)

And do you know the outcome of the cold war? and because of that the Russians should be double-up on the alertness on the military ineractions :-)

Jai Hind !

what is jai hind? "Japanese gotten assimilated?
The 5 Japanese invasions are there to stay in history
They will become resounding atrocities of Japan on China
Japanese would like the world to forget and be forgiven by forgetting

I am of course moving on alongside the "5 Japanes invasions" in my suitcase
It is my call of when to re-open them
These are very mild reminders and there are the chemical weapons, the Nanjing Massacre ... to keep in the suitcase. Want more? :dirol:

Awwww that is so pervert of you!!! Hmmmmm. Anyway coming on topic normal boats are ranged around four including one support ship like tankers. One Rajput class destroyer, one or two shivalik class stealth frigates and one heavy corvette(light frigate as per international standards). One heavy tanker always is with them for independent long range operations. If navy wants it can provide One Delhi class destroyer as well. We have a nuke submarine whose status is unknown to public. It can be added in excercise if required.

Thanks @SvenSvensonov . A thread based on comparing naval logistics and focusing on developing SORAX policies. I cannot understand why some others have to apply a diminutive thinking of raining missiles on one another when that has no basis of the thread topic. Just mind boggling.

PS. You're right, in the Asia-Pacific: USN > JMSDF > PLAN > ROKN > RN > Others
He has to earn his 50 cents by posting it.So don't worry about him, i am sure the PLAN knows about Japanese navy strength, unlike him their military leaders are not fools to think of raining missiles on Japanese Navy.
