Russia stuns India, invokes UN resolutions on Kashmir

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Is that what you gullible indians tell yourself?

UNSC meeting on Kashmir 'crisis' after 370 repeal is itself a huge victory for Pakistan. Remember, protests and anger has not even erupted yet. Social media is on lockdown, and so on. But even then, world media is talking about Kashmir and article 370 revokation, UNSC just conducted a meeting on the issue, China publically called it a breach of its sovereignty, LoC is 'hot', and Pakistani PM already talked to U.S President----all within 10 days of Modi's blunder.

Nobody was expecting this UNSC meeting to do anything more than this. Infact, Pakistan was expecting Russia to outright call 370 an internal issue of india----but even Russia rejected that notion and referred to U.N resolutions. Your own newspapers of india are crying on india's humiliation at UN

https://www.deccanherald.com/nation...invokes-un-resolutions-on-kashmir-754894.html

PAF-PLAAF are launching large-scale aerial exercises next week, btw :D

All because of 370 change, something of no strategic or geopolitical value much....

Now can you tell me what was india able to do against Pakistan when Pakistan made the real geopolitical change in Kashmir by constructing Chinese supply lines through the 'disputed territory' via CPEC? Oh yeah, india bitched about it but nobody even noticed

Modi is truly turning out to be a blessing for Pakistan on diplomatic and military fronts. Pakistan will opt for brinkmanship over 370 and continue to build pressure and humiliate india worldwide----knowing full well that no demographic change will happen in Kashmir Valley, and it will continue to remain overwhelmingly Muslim-majority.
I told you guys many years back..we dont need to do...modi will do for us

It's clearly showing that Sino Russia relationship greatly outweighs old India Russia friendship.

The only purpose India has for Russia is as a weapons export destination. Trade with China however is now far more economically important for the Russians than selling weapons to India, especially as unlike in the past India is trying to diversify from where it imports weapons.

Fake News.
Russia envoy said that ndia and Pakistan must solve differences BILATERALLY, using which ever means they want which includes Simla deal, Lahore deal and UN resolutions etc all of which are bound by UN charter:

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2019/08/190816174341755.html

Since Russia has said it supports only BILATERAL track, it is a huge win for India.
Rest does not matter.
It's Indian news and did they say that's India's internal affairs claimed by your government?

4 out of 5 permanent and 9 out of 10 nonpermanent members supported India at UNSC for your information

Atleast 9 out of 15 had to agree with pakistan for the meeting to have taken place. And 4 out of 5 members took pakistani side.

Go lie to ur own people. We pakistaniz know ur media and u guys. Ur word is not even cow piss to us.

Russia stuns India, invokes UN resolutions on Kashmir

Much to New Delhi's surprise, Russia on Friday referred to the charter and resolutions of the United Nations while expressing hope that India and Pakistan would settle the dispute over Kashmir.

Russia expressed hope during a closed-door consultation of the Security Council at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York that India and Pakistan would settle the dispute over Kashmir in accordance with the charter and the relevant resolutions of the international organization as well as bilateral agreements.

“#Russia continues to consistently promote normalisation of #India - #Pakistan ties,” Dmitry Polyanskiy, Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, tweeted while participating at the closed-door consultation of the Security Council.

“We hope that existing divergences around #Kasmir (Kashmir) will be settled bilaterally by political and diplomatic means only on the basis of Simla Agreement of 1972 and Lahore declaration of 1999, in accordance with UN Charter, relevant UN and bilateral agreements between India and Pakistan,” Polyanskiy posted on Twitter.

Polyanskiy represented the Government of Russian Federation at the UNSC's closed-door consultation on Pakistan's plea for an emergency session of the council to discuss India's recent moves to strip Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) of its “special status” bilateral agreements between India and Pakistan,” Polyanskiy posted on Twitter.

What surprised New Delhi was his reference to “UN charter” and “relevant UN resolutions” while hoping for a settlement between India and Pakistan to end the row over Kashmir.

His tweet had gone against New Delhi's long-standing position that the Simla Agreement in 1972 signed by India Gandhi and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the then Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan, had left no scope for the UN or any third party to get involved in the process to resolve the “outstanding issues” between the two nations. The principle of the Simla Agreement had again been reaffirmed by Lahore Declaration issued by then Prime Minister A B Vajpayee and his then Pakistani counterpart M Nawaz Sharif in 1999.

India has been invoking Simla Agreement and Lahore Declaration to resist attempts by Pakistan to internationalize the bilateral dispute over Kashmir and raise it at the UN General Assembly or the Security Council.

New Delhi also recently refuted US President Donald Trump's claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had requested him to mediate between India and Pakistan to help them resolve the dispute over Kashmir.

India's position was well known to its “old friend” Russia.

Yet Russia's deputy envoy to United Nations on Friday ended up echoing Pakistan's “iron brother” China,
when he expressed hope that New Delhi and Islamabad should settle the dispute in accordance with bilateral agreements as well as UN charter and Islamabad should settle the dispute in accordance with bilateral agreements as well as UN charter and resolutions.

New Delhi reached out to all the five permanent members – US, China, Russia, France and United Kingdom – as well as most of the 10 non-permanent members of the UNSC over the past 24 hours in order to make it sure that the closed-door consultation within the council does not lead to formal return of the J&K issue on the Horse-Shoe Table.

But the only P-5 nation New Delhi was relying on without any iota of doubt was Russia.

India was pretty convinced that Russia would firmly stand by it and stop the UNSC from taking any decision that might help Pakistan internationalize the issue of Kashmir.

Moscow had in fact endorsed New Delhi's position when Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had called his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Wednesday to seek support against the recent decisions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Government on J&K. “There is no alternative to resolve differences between Pakistan and India except bilaterally through political and diplomatic means,” a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Government had quoted Lavrov telling Qureshi.

Moscow had earlier also endorsed New Delhi's argument that Modi Government's decisions on J&K were “internal” affairs of India.

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) – the predecessor of the Russian Federation – had used its veto at the UNSC several times in the past to foil attempts on behalf of Pakistan to get the Security Council pass resolutions against India on the issue of Kashmir.

Russians signed a $400 billion gas agreement with China in 2014. Its just good business practice to have a better relation with China over India.

This BS already debunked by Pro-China/Pak author of Russian origin Andrew Korybko today:

Contrary to what’s being widely reported among some segments of the Alt-Media Community, Russia didn’t support Pakistan at the UNSC meeting about Kashmir, with this wrong interpretation being debunked by an objective reading of the official statements made by Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Polyanskiy.

It’s been widely reported among some segments of the Alt-Media Community that Russia supported Pakistan at the UNSC meeting about Kashmir, but this is a wrong interpretation based off of well-intended wishful thinking that also conforms to classic confirmation bias. The narrative being spread is that Russia’s decision not to prevent the meeting itself from taking place implies some tacit form of support for the Pakistani stance that the issue is a multilateral one that requires the UN to resolve. That’s not true at all, however, since an objective reading of the official statements made by Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Polyanskiy debunk this notion.

The Russian Foreign Ministry published the following press release on its official website about Lavrov’s recent conversation last week with his Pakistani counterpart (bolded emphasis is the author’s own):

“On August 14, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi, on Pakistan’s initiative. The two ministers discussed the situation in South Asia amid the deterioration in relations between Pakistan and India after New Delhi decided to change the legal status of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Sergey Larvov emphasised the need to de-escalate tensions and the absence of an alternative to resolving the differences between Pakistan and India on a bilateral basis by political and diplomatic means. Russia’s representatives in the United Nations also adhere to this consistent position.”

Lavrov, in his capacity as Russia’s top diplomat, very clearly articulated his country’s official position that there is no alternative to resolving the issue on a bilateral basis and that its UN representatives hold the same views.

This was confirmed a few days later by Russia’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Polyanskiy who published the following three tweets reaffirming his country’s position (bolded emphasis is the author’s own):

“#Russia continues to consistently promote normalisation of #India – #Pakistan ties. We hope that existing divergences around #Kasmir will be settled bilaterally by political and diplomatic means only on the basis of Simla Agreement of 1972 and Lahore declaration of 1999, in accordance with UN Charter, relevant UN resolutions and bilateral agreements between India and Pakistan. We are friends and good partners with both #India and #Pakistan and both peoples. We have no hidden agendas. So we will open-heartedly continue to engage with Islamabad and New Delhi in order to help both of them come to terms and have good neighbourly relations #Kashmir”

Not only did he reiterate what Lavrov said about Russia’s belief that the issue must be settled bilaterally, but he also referenced the 1972 Simla Agreement in support of this position.

The USSR, of which Russia is the legal successor state, shared the Indian viewpoint that this agreement forever resulted in the issue being a bilateral one, which is different from the Pakistani position. Nevertheless, the invocation of the Simla Agreement by Polyanskiy was wrongly interpreted through the wishful thinking lense of confirmation bias by some commentators who believed that this signaled support of the Pakistani position by its very mentioning. Advocates of this interpretation also point to the inclusion of “relevant UN resolutions” in his tweet as supposedly returning Russia’s position back to the USSR’s original one back in 1948 when UNSC Resolution 47called for a plebiscite to be held in determining Kashmir’s future political status.

That’s not the case, however, as both Lavrov and Polyanskiy made unambiguously clear when they directly said that the issue must be resolved bilaterally, proving that Russia still adheres to the Soviet Union’s position that the Simla Agreement turned Kashmir into a purely bilateral issue from then on out. As for the claim that Russia tacitly backed Pakistan’s position by virtue of not vetoing the closed door UNSC meeting that was just held, it would be unimaginable for Moscow to disrespect its comprehensive strategic partners in Beijing so brazenly by doing so, which is why Russia let the meeting proceed but used it as yet another opportunity to reaffirm its position on this issue through Polyanskiy’s subsequent tweets.

Due to what transpired last week, there’s no longer any doubt that the Russian and Chinese stances towards Kashmir are totally different and that this will inevitably have an effect on the Alt-Media Community. For now, however, it seems that some are denial about the political divergence between those two on this significant international issue, which partially explains why wishful thinking is still prevalent in wrongly interpreting Russia’s statements as supposedly signaling support for Pakistan’s position on Kashmir. That’s not the case at all, and it’s to the betterment of the Alt-Media Community that its members accept this and understand the reasons behind it in order to return to making realistic assessments of the overall situation and its dynamics.

So it was a vague statement, sometime you tell a very long joke and no one laughs

Unfortunately, war is the only option...

No it is NOT!

This is a trap laid by india, but its mastermind is israel. This trap is to lure Pakistan into an all out war. Because Pakistan stands at the cross roads, where it has a government which is cracking down on corruption and focusing on building Pakistan by putting its efforts in education, environment & economy. Because the enemies of Pakistan cannot use the current government to their advantage. Previous governments were more interested in lining their pockets, hence Pakistan was weak lead by corrupt, traitor politicians. Current government is has powerful backers. This is why the indians are shitting its pants, as it will not be able to withstand an educationally and economically powerful Pakistan. Because a economically and acedemically powerful Pakistan is far more deadly and dangerous threat to india, than nukes will ever be.

WAR IS NOT AN OPTION, IT IS END GAME & PEOPLE WITH INTELLECT KNOW THIS!!!
