By changing the status (without a bilateral agreement) and breaking the shimla accord....I don't think India can be trusted ...ever!
Let's ignore the ultranationalists on either side and think of a lasting solution :
1. Declare the LoC between India and Pakistan as International Border.
2. Replace the Britain-derived political system that the two countries have, with an evolved one in which the people rule directly ( Direct Democracy Socialism ) and not some political parties ( neither single-party rule like China, nor two-party rule like USA nor multiparty rule like India and Pakistan ). This will ensure that any separatist / rebel tendency in India ( say Kashmiri, Naxal and Naga ) and Pakistan ( say Baloch ) can feel satisfied that their country now has a political system which will really work for their benefit, and thus their separatist movement can now be shut down.
3. Open the India-Pakistan International Border for trade, tourism and other forms of people-to-people contact.
Now tell me if you have any objections to the above.
