Iranian President Hassan Rouhani (R) and Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani urges Pakistan to take firm action in dealing with terrorists acting against the Islamic Republic.

In a phone conversation with Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday, the Iranian president said that Tehran and Islamabad should not allow "a bunch of terrorists," who are tools in the hands of other countries, to affect their decades-long cordial ties.

He said the Iranian and Pakistani nations enjoyed "exemplary and historical" relations, calling on senior officials of the two countries to help promote bilateral ties.

"We should not allow any third party to impact Iran-Pakistan relations through their measures," Rouhani said.

Pointing to last month’s terrorist bomb attack in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, Rouhani said Tehran knows well where the terrorist groups that use Pakistan's soil to carry out attacks against the Iranian nation were based, adding, "We are awaiting your (Pakistan’s) decisive action against these terrorists."

"We are fully ready to cooperate with the Pakistani army and government to eradicate these terrorists whose presence is not in favor of us, you or the region," he added.

The Iranian president emphasized that Tehran sought to keep friendly relations with Islamabad.

On February 13, an explosives-laden car rammed into a bus carrying a number of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) forces on a road between the cities of Zahedan and Khash, leaving 27 of them dead and 13 others wounded.

The so-called Jaish ul-Adl terrorist group, which is linked to al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility for the bombing.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei denounced the bloody terrorist attack, saying the spy agencies of certain regional and extra-regional countries certainly had a hand in this crime.

Ayatollah Khamenei says the spy agencies of some regional and trans-regional countries were certainly involved in a terror attack on Iranian forces.

“It is certain that the perpetrators of this crime were linked to spy agencies of certain regional and extra-regional countries and the country’s relevant organizations must focus on that and seriously pursue it,” the Leader said in a message.

let us hope and see how imran changes the old policy .

The problem of Pakistan is its army and ISI.
However I am not optimist at all about these issue. after several months again they give shelter to Terrorists.

Same we believe, the problem is Mullah rogue regime and its rag tag militia with toy missiles not the people.

Training Pakistanis for Syria and Iraq is not terrorism? Radicalizing Pakistani shia is not interference in Pakistan? Kulbhoshan? using Pakistani IDs to spread terrorism in Bahrain? Uzair Baloch using Iranian papers?

PM should understand he is talking to state who is involved in industrial scale terrorism around the region and interfare in all countries. Appeasing wont work, ask them to fence and guard the borders if they are so serious about issue.

In meeting khan will ask him for Clarification about Kulbhoshan and zuair Bloch

Iran needs to understand that Pakistan is trying it's best to curtail these attacks whilst being under attack from all directions by our enemies. Our main focus is preventing and countering a catastrophic war with India and Iran fraternizing with India doesn't help. There are obviously anti-Pakistan teams and operatives active in Iran for cross border terrorism against Pakistan and these need dialogue to resolve. India's main goal is to lever Iran from the Pakistan/China/Turkey Alliance, the main goal being to fake a desire for a marriage of convenience and then unceremoniously dump Iran at the right time. Pakistan has more in common with Iran than India as we have helped each other during hard times.

I don't know why our media tone down or censor news related to Iran. We need actual reporting to change the abnormality of high percentage of Pakistanis having favorable opinion about Iran contrary to other countries of world. This misplaced opinion of population tie hands of state in managing relation with Iran while Iran don't have any such constraint and it's opposite as their officials don't let go any opportunity to bash Pakistan their media don't do any better reporting than Indian when it's about Pakistan.

The problem with most of the world is .........Iran and its diplomats and it proxies all over the middle east and asia. Just google Iranian diplomats subversive activities all over including Europe.

Iran moolah has been playing around everywhere in the world, from Syria, to Iraq to Africa, Yemen and most of all Pakistan.

Iran's moolahs encouraged and trained Shia terrorists.
Iran has cultural centers ( Khana-Farhang) aka shia conversion schools in every city in pakistan.
Iran has given refuge to our enemy, and actively worked to harm our interests.
Iran intelligence gave passports and arranged transport of known terrorist Uzair Baloch.
Iran tried to subvert our allies in Afghanistan, and played the Shia card again.
Iran was the one who rated us out, and got us in trouble along with Libya with nuclear proliferation.
Every missile that Iran has, is based on the design and technology they got from NK.

and yet, the only reason why iran has not had a bid one up it's back side, is because Pakistan has been reluctant to give land or air space access to Saudi, USA, etc.

These idiotic moolahs think they can play game ..
