Made-in-China reactor gains favor at home as U.S. nuclear technology falters

China’s reactor, known as the Hualong One, will be faster and easier to repair and maintain than competing foreign designs because it will be made domestically, according to Chen Hua, chief executive officer of China National Nuclear Power Co., which builds and operates nuclear power projects in the country.

Oh you must be a heck of a lot younger than me and "SaidiArabian" I was talking about, we were jivin' on cartoons from the 70s dude... we're OLD!

Yes, I am, lol. Don’t worry we will all get old if God allows us to. So at least you are not alone bro. Nice talking with you and hope you find that Saudi Arabian user somewhere online.

Bro, it is too late here and just watched game 5 of the NBA finals. China is already involved
while we speak with uranium extraction inside KSA. Question is if they will eventually help build some of the nuclear plants. My gut feeling (based on all the information that we have) is that they will.

Toronto Raptors lost. A shame. Yet 2 opportunities left to win it.

If China will make any plant, it will not be the power producer type.

Those contracts will be distributed between the Americans companies primarily and leftovers going to South Korea, and some European consortium.

Well, if that is the case what is China doing in KSA extracting uranium and why all the nuclear energy deals with China? I am sure you are aware of who has been our biggest partner on our missile program. Since the mid 1980's when we engaged in one of the biggest military deal heists to date.

So it is not difficult to put 2 and 2 together. China is definitely onboard whether officially or non-officially. I am sure that they have been involved in our sole "officially that is" working nuclear reactor already.

I don't think so. I think that KSA will diversify and wisely choose at least one of either Russia or China or both if we assume that China is already involved which is practically 99,9% sure.

That is why KSA and US has not reached any deals yet because KSA wants to be able to master the entire nuclear cycle without any if's. Hence why Trump's administration (apparently) was ready to ease their restrictions for sale abroad of nuclear tech. That was widely covered in US media not long ago.

Not all reactors produce power !

some reactors produce other things.

2 to 4 will be American.. the rest will go to Russia, South Korea and a consortium of French and Chinese.. just like for England..

If any of those countries make problems in contact we have others and we can push the pressure on them and more options for pushing forward what we want

The main objective is to secure the US participation in Uranium enrichment technologies.. so they won't cause problems in the future.. the rest is much easier as Russia is willing to help comprehensively and even transfer Nuclear reactors technologies.. so is China and North Korea..

Business men just want to sale uranium enrichment technologies but politicians and bureaucracy can make problems but Saudis are smart business men what about Pakistan and India?

Nope, from the US by all means.. even if takes a presidential veto.. the right to the full nuclear cycle, including enrichment for civilian use is an international recognised right for every country that has its own Uranium and even others who do not have it, but it is difficult for the latter to justify..

Getting the US on the same boat (as they can cause great harm to every country even China as seen) is as important as getting at least 1 of China (already done) or Russia onboard too to create a balance and play them out against each other and gain influence with all 3 as @Wilhelm II rightly wrote.
