Romance In The Air – Sri Lanka Bridal Air Taxi Ride

Sri Lankan Airlines’ Air Taxi flew its first bridal couple across the country along the coastal belt from Colombo to Koggala recently. Danushka Magage, decided to fly with his beautiful bride Piuma down south, avoiding the hassle of a long drawn road trip to the Fortress Hotel, Koggala.

“It was a fantastic ride and we both enjoyed the breathtaking scenery on a clear sunny day and above all being up in the skies all by ourselves on our special day”, Magage said.

The SriLankan Airlines Air Taxi took-off from its Peliyagoda dock and over 30 minutes and within 1500 - 2000 feet up in the air, afforded a bird’s-eye view of the island’s pristine scenery and landed in the Koggala Lake surrounded by the beautifully landscaped gardens of the Air Force base.

In its scheduled service, the air taxi also touches down in the Bentota River, Mawella Lagoon in Dikwella, Polgolla Reservior in Kandy and Lake Gregory in Nuwara Eliya. Charter flights are operated to Castlereagh Reservoir, Tissamaharama and Amparai.

around 5000 LKR per person if you go with other passengers, If you want to rent air taxi just only for yourself, it may be around 80,000 LKR (I'm not sure)
(These air taxi sea planes fly most of time above our home. )

Wow thats an even better option.I have a few Lankan friends since college days.So it would be a good idea to invite everyone.I am too young for marriage but after 3-4 years will surely book it.
