Many of us might not like Bhutto some might love him but one thing is certain, he brought a revolution against the "capitalist industrialist" and "landlords"(which later became part of his revolution).

This revolution ended with nationalism of all industries and mind set that capital development is a crime.

The net result is that today non of us are familiar with any rich people in Pakistan, as everyone tries to hide capital, be it illegal or honestly earned.

This has led us into a system that is essentially a pseduo capitalist communist system.

Revolution of Bhutto wasnt easy to reverse, first came the powerful military, followed by Mr sharif, hallmark of Mr sharif was to corrupt the beurocracy and judges, thus a another group the corrupt beurocarts were born. He used this system to create a strong force in Pakistan which propelled his kingship.

Thus today we have
1. Landlords of bhuttos
2. Hidden rich peoples
3. Rich and strong beurocrats, recently media men and judges
4. And ofcourse the military

In all the common folk has suffered as above four have exploited the system.

To reverse the above is no easy feat.

Imran khan will have to use the very same judges beurocrats and military to break up this system

Whether we like it or not bhutto, benazir and sharif had a strong following, which created over generations, a well balance system of the above, dedicated for corruption.

..to break this system imran khan has to outshine the combine chrisma of all three ...to me it seems an impossible task..willl have to see how he does..

Bhutto has done some good things like initiating nuclear programme which played important role in survival of Pakistan in tough times

He may have been great with speeches but he was stubborn and his stubbornness cost Pakistan multiple time

The Nationalization drive was due to loss of 1971 East Pakistan , our economy lost 50% revenue and in order to make up for things , things were Nationalized

From power house of asia we went downhill very fast as all the capital flew and went to other Asian countries in US group like japan and south korea ..we missed a golden chance

state owned enterprises are inefficient. nationalizing hurts you in long run. but does pakistan have the human capital to compete with the East Asian economies ?
