How can we negotiate with a group that does not accept the constitution, kills innocent people and wants to implement a hardline religious system that no muslim can bear to live in other than the Taliban themselves. The taliban are a major threat to us and should be dealt with harshly. There is no way around this.If I'm not mistaken taliban ruled afghanistan before US invasion right?
Oh man stop killing these people and tell them to stop fighting.
Only Pakistan was the one to start negotiations in murree and we still get blamed : |

Great question and a sane question but it seems this question eluding most of your compatriots in Pakistan. They think Afghan Talis in Afghanistan will best serve Pakistani interests, NO they won't, their next destination will be Pakistan and will be lashing these pant wearing keyboard warriors for not having long beards and wearing western pants.
Pathetic logic.
General Hameed Gul used to the chief guest on national parades in Afghanistan from 96 - 01 . The only air link they had was with Saudi Arabia and us. But i wouldnt want the same to happen to you guys again .
. Are you old enough to remember that time ?last time they served us well .General Hameed Gul used to the chief guest on national parades in Afghanistan from 96 - 01 . The only air link they had was with Saudi Arabia and us. But i wouldnt want the same to happen to you guys again .

Have you forgotten Swat and how Pakhtoon girls were flagged outside? I have the videos on youtube but the honour in me demands I dont post them, so instead of telling us how Hamid Gul or Colonel Imam ( who shot later by TTP ) did grandly for Pakistan, you should watch those videos first.
Like i said i dont want that to happen to Afghanistan. The flogging videos were fake btw. Swat was a political decision by the government to lure all militants in swat and then finish all of them . It didn't 'magically' fell into their hands.

your good in spinning the news but hey its your country and your looking for her interests as I am for Afghanistan so I can't judge you.Yeah And?How can we negotiate with a group that does not accept the constitution, kills innocent people and wants to implement a hardline religious system that no muslim can bear to live in other than the Taliban themselves. How is Hekmat Yaar doing after being exonerated honorably and allowed to keep his private militia and weapons by Afghan Govt?
If Afghan govt. can negotiate with him, it can also negotiate with other Taliban.
Believe it or not, "good Talis" and "bad Talis" do exist...ask USA who coined this term in the first place.
( no trolling this serious fact )I don't know dude, why dont you ask him he is currently in Shamshatoo camp in Peshawar and from there he signed the agreement( no trolling this serious fact )
As for Talis, they door is open for the like it was for Hekmatyar.
Perhaps if Afghanistan, or should I say the current leadership of Afghanistan offers us the olive branch the sentiment for/supporting the Afghan Taliban might end. If you compare the current belligerence of the Afghan leadership with the Taliban regime you will find that the Taliban ignored the issue of the Durand line and there were no single skirmishes on the border during their rule. The current government and the Karzai one have raised Durand line again. I have talked about the hostility of various Afghan governments like Daood Khan's towards Pakistan extensively. If you think from the Pakistani perspective you will note why my fellow countrymen feel this way and side with a group as evil as the Afghan taliban.Twitter journalistnews is false
