He now tells Haryana’s farmers we are giving away much of the Ravi, Sutlej and Beas waters to Pakistan. This is just not true. Out of 33 million acre-feet (MAF) that is by right India’s, only about two MAF utilisable from the Ravi and Beas flows into Pakistan. Yet Mr Modi threatens Pakistan, saying: “The water which belongs to India was allowed to flow to Pakistan for 70 years… This will not happen now. We will divert the water which belongs to India, it will be given to the farmers of Haryana, and water should be given to the farmers of Rajasthan.” But the main reason why Haryana, Rajasthan and even Delhi are being denied the Indus basin waters is because Punjab refuses to permit the completion of the Sutlej-Yamuna Link Canal (SYL) from just below the Nangal Dam to join the Yamuna canal near Karnal in Haryana."

Modi is fooling his dumb uneducated sanghis for votes. Pakistan hardly get anything from India's share of water from eastern rivers apart from flood water in few months of monsoon. Its basically occupied punjab water that Modi want to divert to Haryana.

Pakistan should continue to support sikhs and never allow Sutlej-Yamuna link to be constructed. Could be basis of new khalistan insurgency.

Basically this campaign is against east punjab, to divert their water to Haryana. Punjab rivers don't run through Haryana, Rajastan who should ask their share from Ganga river, their motherland.

India got 33 MAF share in IWT which was way beyond what Indian punjab needed. It allowed them to build canals up to Rajasthan. But now they want another canal to take rest of water from occupied punjab.

Pakistan complains for the dams which can control water flow. India has a the ability and has been creating floods in Pakistan when it releases unannounced water in rainy season. The damage hurts farmers here.

India didnt react with water even during wars. If it still haunts you, you should have built dams on your side instead of blaming India. We will do everything in our interest. And also we do not have the ability to create floods or stop water at the moment. Its your leadership that failed to build adequate infrastructure and your paranoia henceforth.
