Its nice to see India having a cute little plate of its own, starting exactly near Kashmir, going along the Nepal border, ending in the North East and encompassing our Maritime Zones.

India NPP to be quake, tsunami-proof

The Kudankulam nuclear power plant in the south of India, which is built with the assistance of Russia, is earthquake and tsunami-resistant, a top official at the Indian Nuclear Energy Corporation said.

The official, Shrean Kumar Djein, said that the plant’s reactors are designed in such a way that they will continue to operate as normal even if all workers had to vacate the plant.

Experts of the Indian Nuclear Energy Corporation will be inspecting all nuclear power stations across the country in the aftermath of the disaster at the Fukushima plant in Japan, the corporation’s chief executive said.

India NPP to be quake, tsunami-proof: Voice of Russia

We have just started to act on Indo-US nuclear deal. As we sign more amd more deals with energy giants all over the world my concern won't be any natural disaster. Well lets hope we don't give rise to any other incident like Bhopal gas tragedy.

Energy sector always demands more attention from government and developing countries solved this problem in first priority. Provider or supplier has no concern with possibility of misshapen but it is duty of investors or buyers to work out all possibilities & extra energy plans.
While South Asia fell into Atomic energy phobia & on other side EU seriously is looking for alternative energy resources to avoid from any type of accident and horrible disasters.

We must think for not only tomorrow but for next 50 years and on first step bring into use natural energy resources on parallel bases for minimize human loses or destruction may caused by this ultra dangerous source of energy.

... And rightly so. Japan's Fukushima nuclear power plant was 50 years old. One would expect the more modern ones to incorporate more safety features.

Nothing special here. The Russians just want to reassure us to avoid any delays. Let's just hope they're not cutting any corners.
