1: who is this mestrious ROBERT ANDERSON that pops out of no where to claim he was responsible for the deaths of 60,000 inocent people just in time to accuse Davis of the same thing ~cough~ bull .
If you were responible for extrajudicial killing of thousands of people you dont go arround telling people, amazing coincidence that it happens now.

2: Phoenix was in Vietnam not Laos

3: Phoenix was specifically designed as a combined coin op with the south to prevent alienating the locals "the rifle approach rather than the Shotgun"

4: Phoenix was legal and had stringent safeguards, yes they were not always followed but it was not the secret illegal opperation anderson is trying to make it seem.

Want the whole story ?

Feb. 17 (pp.1-86): "Vietnam: Policy and Prospects, 1970" (Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Hearings, Feb. 17--March 19 1970 (CIA/DoD Phoenix Program)

86 pages so take your time.

He has also had movies made about him, he's not mysterious, you just weren't paying attention to him before.

60,000 assassinated would disagree with you. I guess the whole problem is the same, you guys try to justify killings with legalities, sometimes its immunity, sometimes its hiroshima/nagasaki, the dead don't rise up to disagree with you. Fortunately this time we're in a position to disagree with you.

I can try to be brave & call this spade (Robert Anderson) a spade... who admitted he with comrades killed some 60,000 , i would say "innocents"... & caused a hell of infrastructure damage... etc

سو چوهے كها كے بلى حج كو چلى

But good post anyways...

Sir,

Here in america---we don't use this condescending term----we call it the 'call of the conscience'---it is the awakening----a young man in the millitary has already been trained to do what he has to do----. But when the vested interest of the agencies come into play and the programs are hijacked, then there are time that atrocities happen.

If it was not for people like him---we would not know---so---we try not to insult their integrity and what they did----but try to hold accountable those who were responsible forgiving out the orders.

But---anyway---nice job for insulting that person who is in our corner---on our side---great comment:no:
