Rawalpindi- Rawalpindi police has started computerizing record related to the criminals.
The process for computerizing the record of criminals has been started in the Criminal Record Office (CRO) of CIA office. The SSP Investigation is supervising and monitoring work for computerization of all the record. DSP CRO Farhan is working on this project. The thumb impressions and latest photographs of the criminals are also being made part of computerized record. Videos films of the criminals are also being preserved. This process will help police to investigate the crimes and arrest the criminals and this way police performance will improve tremendously.

In Private Sector, computerization started in 1996, and lasted upto 2003.

It's late, but better then never happening.
