Its actually funny... just an example is this thread about open defecation by indians and pakistanis calling indians names and what not in that thread...but a simple google search with words " open defecation in pakistan" throws a numbers ranging from 40 million to close to 80 million of their own country men defecating in the open...

No matter who is the nation and person, loss of innocent life is a sad incident. We should never celebrate such tragedies its just for sharing purposes.

As a Pakistani unless there is a causality in military conflict I will always feel sorry for any loss of innocent human life or property regardless of nation and religion.

Don't draw too many conclusions. Relax, it is just a news item and take it as such. Monsoons are important for the whole region. What happens in Bharat has a direct influence on Pakistan. Keep your thoughts positive.

At least six people were killed after a dam breached late Tuesday night and washed away several houses in Chiplun taluka of Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra. At least sixteen others are reported missing. The breach of the dam occurred around 10 pm Tuesday after very heavy rains over the last two days. Officials feared the number of people missing could increase.


At least seven villages downstream the dam have been cut off, district police officials said.

As per the information given by the Ratnagiri police, the Tiware dam on a rivulet in Chiplun had started developing cracks after Tuesday evening. Before villagers downstream could be alerted, the dam developed a rupture flooding the villages and hamlets within minutes.

At least 12 houses from a hamlet adjacent to the dam were washed away. Teams from local police, district disaster management cell, fire brigade along with local villagers started the searching for missing villagers. Bodies of two adult males were recovered in the early hours of Wednesday.


The NDRF team stationed in neighbouring Sindhudurg district and those from the Pune headquarters of 5th Battalion of the NDRF were moved for the spot late on Tuesday night.

As the teams reached the spot, they joined the ongoing search and rescue operation with the local administration.
