yup! I understand they have to detach / attach the wingtip rail and MICA missile on deck/ below deck. Pretty sure the Indian carrier will eventually go kablooey and become a sensational internet meme.Good lord - that is a horrible solution.

Should'nt the IAF take those over? They are flying much older examples alreadyVery soon Mig-29s will also be removed from service, will be swapped with either new Rafale orders or TEDBF.

It’s not having to detach whole wings bad - that is still doable.yup! I understand they have to detach / attach the wingtip rail and MICA missile on deck/ below deck. Pretty sure the Indian carrier will eventually go kablooey and become a sensational internet meme.![]()
the battle of midway, the Japanese were busy switching from free fall bombs to torpedoes on deck when a dive bomber scored a hit and sent the carrier and flag ship to davy jones locker. There is a reason why arming and disarming is done below deck with meticulous care. Also, imagine your carrier is hit and you need to save your air assets in a hurry before your carrier sinks. The USN can get all air worthy fighters airborne in 7 minutes. The Indians will need several hours to detach/attach and get all fighters airborne. It’s not having to detach whole wings bad - that is still doable.
