I am against buying such expensive aircraft for BAF. I am for inducting J-10D with Chinese engine. Both France and Britain have good defense relations with India and that's a matter of concern for us. Only China has strategic interest in Bangladesh because of our border with India. J-10D is cheap which means we can buy more J-10D aircraft with the same amount of money required to buy just 16 RAFALE/EUROFIGHTER. We must not push China away.

There's also options of gripen and f16 more affordable and matching capabilities to the rafale and typhoon other then payload

In case you don't know Bangladesh's military strategy is purely defensive.

Once again, our military strategy is purely defensive. We have upgraded our T-59 tanks which includes ERA, 125mm guns, and a more powerful engine. Light tanks are for defensive operations only.

BD has chosen light tanks because heavy ones cannot move over the BD terrain. Soil is very weak.

Indian heavy tanks therefore are invalid in BD. Even Indian tanks weighing 15 ton stuck in our soil in 1971.

just curious why Bangladesh dont get the cheaper (and far less capable but cheap) Tejas from india ? maybe a massive discount since no one in the world want Tejas

BD has better options compared to Indian Tejas.
