This metro project is completely halal. Bani gala approved and certified.
its not about the jangla bus. its about the allocation of resources. what one should compare is not the project vs. project but the amount of resources allocated towards a certain project (in this case metro bus). As per the article, KPK has allocated 14bn towards a project of similar nature while punjab spent 30bn to achieve the same.
it can very well be argued that the size of Lahore is too big compared to Peshawar thus the project cost of 30bn is somewhat justified.
a more equitable comparison will be to look at the per km cost which is being incurred by the two provincial govts. According to this parameter, Punjab spent 1.10bn per km. The KPK metro project will be 26.6km long which gives the per km cost of 0.53bn. One can therefore say that the KPK is trying to achieve the same objective at half the cost of Punjab.
another issue is that 14bn allocated by KPK is planned expenditure. It might go up latter. Also the quality of the project might be different across the two provinces. but that brings up the question: how good a quality do you want in a country like Pakistan? The answer may vary from province to province.
well well well so they are making Peshawar Metro on a 4 lane road so it mean it has at grade route not elevated... So my question here is is the route of the Peshawar Metro elevated or at grade it's at grade route that's is why it's cost less then Lahore Metro bus... so no need to compare it with Lahore Metro...

Education is main priority. First,they allocated record number of funds for education more than any province percentage wise. About commission, drug smuggler hanif abbasi is not president of metro project in KPK. There is huge difference between KPK police & Punjab police. KPK police is non political police, this is awami police, unlike Punjab police receives commissions from their party PMLN & became political wing.By allowing Metro in KPK, the IK/PTI shot in their foot once again... as usual. What was wrong with the previous mass transit plan? Less commission maybe?
