Proposed bill seeks penalty for false accusations of domestic violence

What's against the quran?

The prevalent culture in Pakistan. Most of it.

To punish the male is against the Quran?

For what crime? Domestic violence?

Quran doesn't authorize state to straight away directly interfere in matters of married couple, there are steps before a marriage is announced null and void, and those steps involve counselling, arbitration by elders and mature ones of both the family.

Previously Muslims succeeded because they understood difference between religion and culture...In Pakistan the two are intertwined...You point a finger at it and people want to chop you to pieces!

They weren't following any religion(s), they followed Deen e Islam and Deen happened to be their daily life. So everything was simple to understand and practice.

Mixing of Deen with culture by Pakistanis, is mostly to find excuses for their pre Islam practices. And a Muslim's real test is to stand steadfast in face of injustice, societal ills, hypocrisy and oppression, that's what Messenger Peace be upon him and his companions did. Pakistanis mostly tend to make matters complex for them.

THIS blaming ALSO falls on the wali of the girl who didnt read, the guy himself who also didnt read what the haq of the woman is, the imam who didnt preach it in the small sermon most imams give before the nikkah [at least in Western countries , there is a small speech about marriage, rights of husband and wife but I hear no such thing in Pakistan]

The blame also falls on the people who manipulate the Nikkah Nama as suggested by the links I pasted where certain sections are crossed out

There is no concept of wali in Quran for a mature girl, only the minor orphan girls have guardian. Quran doesn't expect a minor girl to get married, and Quran explicitly empowers the mature one to her rightful status in the society. So I don't think anyone needs to lecture anyone on their marriage, read the contract you are signing, understand it properly, understand your role and responsibility under that contract and abide by it. Simple.

Cursing the past wont make present Pleasant nor the Future bright.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it

So do you believe such laws can work in Pakistan?

Financial penalties get the message through much much faster, Yes I believe these laws will help protect the abuse from both sexes.

Please, If you are going to quote The noble Quran provide references,

“Retain them in kindness or release them in kindness. But do not retain them to their hurt so that you transgress (the limits). If anyone does that he wrongs his own soul. Do not take God’s instructions as a jest“ (Qur’an 2:231).

The prophet, on whom be peace, was asked what are the obligations of husbands toward their wives. He replied: 'Feed her when you eat, and provide her clothing when you provide yourself. Neither hit her nor use impolite language when addressing her.'

Sure No problem ..........

"And if you fear a breach between the two, bring forth an arbiter from his people and from her people an arbiter, if they desire to set things right; God will compose their differences; surely God is All-knowing, All-aware." 4:35

The thing is Quran respects the sanctity of marriage contract, it keeps discouraging the divorce and encourages the continuation of Marriage,

"Those who intend to divorce their wives shall wait four months (cooling off); if they change their minds and reconcile, then God is Forgiver, Merciful. If they go through with the divorce, then God is Hearer, Knower." 2:226-27

There are many other verses and the one that prescribes who you can marry and who not, even in that verse, Quran says that what has already happened has happened.

Financial penalties do not work in this regard. Not to mention the ludicrous notion that one can beat the life partner and pay the money and afterwards live together.

Agreed

Yes but this is part and parcel...to allow the woman to brave up and claim man abuses her and the man to brave up and challenge it...

Like you said earlier, "Pakistanis mostly tend to make matters complex for them"

MOST are illiterate in the Quran and their only knowledge of Islam is from what they see....SUCH people will listen to the law at least if they cant open the Quran...

As for marriage cert...This isnt abt the Nikkah Nama but after signing it...

You really wanna know the data of domestic abuse in Pakistan as per UNHCR guidelines? Suicide much?

You have to learn to stay on the topic, we were talking about if financial penalties work or not .

One of the biggest reason for domestic abuse by the so called MUSLIMS in Pakistan is dowry (forbidden in real Islam) second is family-related disputes often resulted in the death or disfigurement of the victims.

Now if these money worshiping bastards are willing to kill or hurt someone because they don't have enough money to pay these low lives, do you really think when they have to pay for what they have done financially and physically they will do it, simple answer is no.

Please next time stick to your one liners and trolling.

Dowry is culturally understood and most accidents happen due to something someone said. Money comes too late in the proceedings.

You live in one of the most tolerant countries of the World. Yet your language does not mirror it. I wonder why

Who cares what Islam says as long as MONEY WORSHIPING (Dowry) is culturally understood, it's all good and halal now.
