There is no annulment of marriage contract based on some law that is other than what is sent down by God. The Nikah is in the court of Allah, not the monkey driven parliament or courts of ours.

Besides you say 50k won;t stop people. But you are sure 3 strike policy will keep people from doing it, in particular the ones who seek to go through the 3 strikes on purpose?

Nikkah is a Social contract done as the state its protector. The State has the right to intervene if huqooq ibads are violated

This is not a solution! You think the one who is involved in domestic violence is interested in 3 strike policy?

Thats why its said that the law is enforced not practiced.

This touted law will further alienate women and not empower them.

Domestic abuse has nothing to do with education either.

That is why we need such punishments....1st financially deter them then beat em up if it doesnt sit in the head!

I can give you a better alternate ............ let women of Pakistan be independent financially. Let them join careers and earn bread and butter for their family. That would help reduce cases of domestic violence, not this law only.

THAT is why control is a must...The problem with Pakistan family is they do fakka and call it roza...You see each thing ALLAH asked us to do is to make us a real mard ka bacha!

Do prayers = time management (in West Muslims manage their jobs with namaz in mind coz they only get so much free time to say the fard)

Do roza = discipline and abstaining as well as develop empathy

Do Hajj = unity and see the different people ALLAH made, follow the path of the prophets

Giva Zakat = humble yourself and develop empathy

BUT Pakistanis find shortcut in everything....
Prayers = not many pray or even know its essence -Many do takar mar style
Roza = Many do Fakka of being hungry and not doing anything else
Hajj = so many go for hajj pushing other people as though by pushing you get more haq
zakat = many even run away from this

There are other such examples of simple things with some background that people dont associate with it!


Likewise, this law is to reduce domestic violence I would like it to be backed with a registry like sex offenders are registered ....people who beat others should also be registered but then again I have fear that some idiots would abuse that...Like putting someones name on it just so that they cant get married to their daughter or to a girl they like ...

What has all this got to do with a laborer finding it hard to make his ends meet?

Laws need to be tailored to the societal needs.

Not to mention women already have massive issues coming out due to cultural norms about anything.

They could have simply made a Registry and a 3 strike policy resulting in annulment of marriage contract. Would solve socho Religio needs of the People.

Forget the 50k. Or 30k. The marriage is long long over if abuse is normality or requiring state overseeing.

I shared an idea more robust than this.
This is just a money making Scheme for the government.

People who cannot Go without abusing others should have women children and wealth taken away from them after 3rd conviction.

Previously some cultures exiled men for this.

not happy with ruling of 1 court take your plea to another until one agrees....Basically, rules to follow hi nai kernay
And each stupid court is working individually evicting terrorist while other court is fighting to convict

And other crap people use to destroy the country!

Next law should be anyone in decision making positions needs to deposit 1 son or child on the border...So that they have their perspective right!

That is a very welcome step. I hope West, which gives too much unnecessary freedom to women, also emulates this.

Here, a woman can walk to a police station and file a complaint against here husband accusing him of rape and violence. The police does not investigate and lays the charge. Made lives miserable for so many men here, living with a false accusation and paying heavy legal fee to lawyers to get the criminal charge removed. Once the charge is over turned, there is no penalty on woman and she walks free.

Violence is not limited to physical contact, or physical abuse. Physical violence may end at some stage and you may develop endurance to bear it, the real mental torture won't let you live in peace ever.

How can a rich woman prove that her husband slapped her last night? Are you trying to say that its only poor husbands who slap and beat their wives?

I didn't mean poor in materialistic/financial sense.
I meant as in Bechaari not ghareeb/ameer.
