Considering Pakistan itself has a reluctance to complete the Gas line between Iran-Pakistan, may be Pakistan should allow Private Business consortium (China/Pakistan/Turkey) to take up completion of the Gas line :coffee: on Share % profit basis
and put the shares of the company in Pakistan Stock Exchange

A private Group will ensure , it becomes a Private Business matter between Businessman and Iran

This will ensure if Pakistan does not wants to proceed at state level may be at a Public ground level , the project can complete and in end it does helps the people attain cheap gas from Iran , and reduces deforestation as many people in Rural Balohistan cook with tree chopped , or burned

The inaction on the Gas line deal is not well understood because , we don't have extensive distribution network in Balochistan or Sindh , the extra gas will help homes cook food reduce dependence on other sources

why is there a reluctance to complete the pipeline from our side? maybe it wont be of much use if we get gas from Turkmenistan and their pipeline.

Pakistan shall negotiate expulsion of RAW from Iran in exchange for gas purchase, while price agreement shall be made public, same as price agreement with Qatar was public and audited thoroughly by PTI, where of Abbasi was jailed for corruption.

What I had in mind was just sell the rights to project which are owned by Pakistan to Private Business Owners who don't have a problem Trading with Iran.

I am visualizing a Business Consortium of Turkish/Chinese/Pakistani Businessmen who may plan out purchasing the rights and completing the project , and then setup a IPO in Pakistan Stock Exchange
Let Pakistani people buy shares for this company 100% Pubic owned.

Similar to Saudi Aramco , setup a Entity which deals 100% in Gas transport /Distribution in Pakistan

a) Bring it by Trucks
b) Bring it on Train
c) Bring it by Gas Pipeline

I am generally Ok with all the outcomes because Gas is needed for all homes for cooking purpose and heating purpose for heating in winter

I find transport of gas by ships is very costly habit and prone to disruption

120,000-500,000
jobs would be created

I was about to post something on this topic. Pakistan needs to make haste in realising this pipeline. Pleading IPPs for gas and other energy commodities should be a thing of the past. A country which sits next to energy powerhouses shouldn't be handing out periodic tenders to secure energy deals.

Show a massive middle finger to the Americans and Arabs and make this pipeline a reality. These enemies have for too long made sure that Pakistan doesn't prosper. A bunch of foreigners are dictating Pakistan where to get gas and oil from. It is an abomination, but I am sure we still have sold-outs ready to hand out their reasons.

This is not giving a finger , but simple common sense Business
Pakistan's neighbor is rich with Gas , and we need gas , common sense , we should be buying from our nearest country and transporting Abundance of Gas

Impact on Economy:
a) People will not cut or burn trees

b) People will not have problems in Winter with cold homes

c) People will be able to cook their meal in safe environment

d) People need to have Gas to power their Industries specially in Balochistan with Gas powered engines

e) Iran - Pakistan trainway link will further solidify , and improve in quality with Gas transportation or tourist transport

It is an economic interest for Pakistan to bring in Gas from Iran , specially considering all the Europe trades with Iran

It is about giving a middle finger. About time too. You know as I do why Pakistan hasn't continued with the IP pipeline. It is due to external pressure. Who is pressuring and blackmailing Pakistan? It is the US and their Arab comrades.

As you say, we need the gas and oil. We have a direct neighbor which is willing to sell gas and oil to Pakistan. Get over the politics and get on with building the pipeline.

I would go one step further and tell the Americans to shove their TAPI pipeline where the sun doesn't shine.

The failure to construct pakistans section of the pipeline was never one of economics,it was simply, and sadly,a lack of the requisite political will on the part of the various pakistani regimes out of fear of what america might do in retaliation to pakistan economically if it dared to work with iran.
If the political will had been there then the pipeline would have likely been built and been in operation now, sadly tho the only part of the pipeline deal that still seemed to be of concern to the pakistani government in the years since then was avoiding paying the large penalty fees that it had raked up thru its failure to follow through on the deal in the first place.
Ultimately it makes little difference whether the deal to build the pipeline is done via the government or through private enterprise, because both would require a certain level of political will on the part of the current pakistani regime, and without the political will virtually nothing is possible no matter how many other factors may be in its favor.
