A private Iraqi source denied that US forces participated in the raid and arrest of members of the "Iraqi Hezbollah" inside a missile manufacturing workshop in the Dora area, south of Baghdad, and also promoted some social networking sites close to the party.
وأكد المصدر أن رئيس الوزراء العراقي Mustafa al- Kazimi "has not and will not present an apology" to Hezbollah for the operation, which is part of the procedures of its government program to restrict weapons to the state.
The source, who preferred not to be named, added that the detainees, during the scholarship, will not be released without a judicial order, after the end of the investigation with them by the competent authorities.
The "Hezbollah Brigades" vowed to target the Iraqi Prime Minister after the arrest of two leaders in it, according to a tweet by the security official of the "Hezbollah Brigades", Abu Ali Al-Askari.
Al-Askari accused the Iraqi Prime Minister of "wasting" what he described as "the issue of his participation in the murder" of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and Deputy Chairman of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Organization, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis.
This comes hours after the arrest of a group of members of the "pro-Iranian" Hezbollah Brigades, during their raid on a missile manufacturing workshop and launching platforms, in the Dora area in Baghdad.
Local sources indicated that, after the arrest, the Hezbollah militia deployed in the streets of the Iraqi capital late Friday morning, then withdrew after that.
Since October 2019, more than 33 missiles have targeted Iraqi facilities hosting diplomats or foreign soldiers, including 6 attacks in the past two weeks alone.
Mysterious actors have embraced a few of these attacks, which analysts consider a fake front for pro-Iranian faction
