Any technical data on the power line? Supplying Northern Pakistan with Electricity from the Chinese Grid will allow electricity to be sold and paid for without waiting on more power stations to be built in Pakistan to some extent. Similar to the Power line from Central Asia.

They are very new and up to date facilites, so the capacity must be massive, and general Kashgar area is a stone thorw from Pakistan.

Yep china pakistan , interconnect. Kashmir linked with tibet (xizang) and xinjiang. But first chinese should make sure electricity theft is taken care of in pakistan. Its really bad in pakistan regarding non payment, debt and stealing.

After pakistan cleans this mess of a power secror chinese should connect the grids...

Pakistan is working on metering the grid and decreasing theft. It will never be 100% but the thieves are being limited with meters.

Its cheaper to build micro dams
Whole northern areas demand is less than 100mw
Simply expanding some of hydro plants will be enough
Building grid from south asia i think is stupid too because grid for 1000mw will cost 1۔4 b dollars..pretty much the cost of setting up a similar hydro plant...

No need for that, it will be very expensive compared to local dams. Plus Basha dam will force Pakistan to connect remote GB with national grid. Pakistan should learn from Irani imported electricity and avoid that situation in future. Now Gwadar will be connected to national grid after completion of 300MW coal power plant.

What's enough now doesn't mean it will be enough in the future.

Pakistan has a of 60،000 mw potential unfortunately no serious attempt were made...
Had PPPP govt or PMLN govt seriously tried on hydro front we would have atlesst at least hoped for solution

We failed to realized that the problem is not simple shortage but affordable power..

Now lets hope dasu munda bhasha are completed on time and pathan and bunji are started soon
