Police in Melbourne hunt Indian following a sexual assault on Melbourne beach.

A woman has been attacked at a beach south-east of Melbourne.

The 24-year-old was at Seaford beach - in the City of Frankston - on Melbourne’s Port Phillip Bay when she was approached by a man and sexually assaulted about 5pm on Sunday.

Investigators have released a computer-generated image of a man police believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

Police believe the man kissed and touched her, “causing the woman to push the unknown man away and run from the area”.

The man was last seen walking along Seaford beach towards the Frankston Foreshore.

The alleged offender is described as Indian Sub-continental in appearance, about 28-years-old, 170cm tall, unshaven with a slim build, short dark-brown hair and large round eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a brown shirt with a fluorescent orange logo and no shoes.
