We applied on the US Sanctions, stopped importing oil from Iran, stopped exporting rice, wheat and oranges.

In clear words, we ditched them when they needed us. India came to their rescue at that time. Being the only Iranian buyer under sanctions!

Personally I would support that. Reason being is the only way you can increase your stock value in this world is if you have lots of avenues and links. On the contrary if you have less or non your stock value dips as you have no other options and other can 'buy you on the cheap'. One of the reason India recieves higher value then Pakistan is India will engage with -

Israel
Iran
USA
Europe
Saudia Arabia
etc

This means it always has options on the table and in any negotiations the others are aware that India has lots of other contenders. This means India always extracts the best deals.

Well, Iran was also threatening us during that time with strikes.. which one is more dangerous? And Iran is providing Chahbahar to India and Iran was the country where raw agents were based.. And India is a major trading partner of Iran..

I say, every country has its own strategic interests.. KSA and UAE have their own interests and they don't stop us from having ours..

We have very good relations with Qatar and Turkey.. Has KSA or UAE ever asked us to join them against Qatar? No.

Important thing is that we must follow a policy that's in our own interest.. not in KSA/ UAE/ Iran or any other country's interest at the expense of our relations with other countries..
