Rouhani invited him to visit Iran as part of strengthening bilateral relations.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Saturday evening held a telephonic conversation with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on the recent simmering tensions in the region following the Pulwama attack in Indian-occupied Kashmir (IOK).

PM Khan apprised him about the current situation while both leaders agreed to have a better coordination between intelligence agencies of both countries.

Rouhani invited him to visit Iran as part of strengthening bilateral relations. Rouhani outlines decades of friendship and fraternity between the two countries and acknowledged that a joint contribution is required for resolution of the prevailing regional crisis.

Khan also conveyed to him about the current situation of relations between Pakistan and India, and emphasized on negotiations and talks to resolve the dispute.

The PM, while thanking Iran for supporting Kashmiris in their right to self-determination, also stressed on Iran’s positive and critical role in resolution of conflict between India and Pakistan.

Remarking recent regional tensions, Khan told him that he would soon have “good news” for Iran.

“It is in Pakistan’s own interest not to allow our territory to be used by banned outfits, and the Pakistani army is prepared to confront the militants more decisively with the intelligence information shared,” Khan told Rouhani.

Khan also offered condolences for the attack in which a suicide bomber killed 27 members of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards in mid-February in a southeastern region where security forces are facing a rise in attacks by militants.

Sometimes you cannot forget Iranians and thier support to Pakistan on the just and rightful causes.

What is the soon good news for Iran, Imran Khan is talking about?

We need better relations with all neighbors. That includes Iran. I hope we can resolve the issue of foreign forces funding groups to attack Iran from our territory.

Visit Iran! Accept the invitation, go over there, and win them over! Bring them back to Pakistan's side.

Are we handing the Israeli pilot to Iran? :sarcastic: but seriously, what could it be?

i guess he means good news related to the group who was doing bombing / terrorism in Iran
as he said about intelligence cooperation

anyway wise words again from Imran Khan. I learn to discover him here .

@Serpentine this is how we should conduct relations with each other, this is why i was telling u in the other thread that u people need to control over enthusiastic unprofessional generals on ur side who have a habbit of dishing out political statements that could hurt the potential of great relations between Pakistan and Iran. None of us favour ditching Iran and completely backing Saudis. We have a policy of balancing relations with both states, this proves that we give importance to Iran despite getting billions of investment from.the Saudis. Get hold of that general and lock him up becuse either he was stupid or he was working against the interests of Iran by trying to make a muslim nuclear power hostile to Iran, either way his actions were against ur interests.

****Saudi brigade on fire @Pan-Islamic-Pakistan
There is a Saudi brigade yes but there is an equally vicious Iranian brigade . We need to shun both and only give importance to the Pakistani brigade.

The problem here in South Asia is: every country is under tight control of western powers. If any country tries to say no, then other country is used to teach her the lesson. In this way, every country is enemy of other country. To handle that, first we must break the effects of embargos on Iran. We must get Afghanistan out of the occupation. And, either try to make our relations with India normal, or, divide India and then make our relations normal with resulting states. I know the last point is a wild one.

1) Project liberation of Afghanistan almost done, our boys are coming to power soon.
2) Project dividing India pending but iam sure the boys will get on it now with full focus after the Afghan job is done.

I think South India is almost ready to separate themselves from India, and this is not what Pakistan did, it's a western agenda. I don't know why West wants to separate south from India, but it was the plan from day one, like Bangladesh.
But this is what my perception is.

Iran is sending mix signals these days.
It looks like they are trying to balance the act with India who is an important oil customer (300k pbd). Hence they are expected to sing to the Indian war mongering tones.
On the other hand there is Pakistan, a major Saudi ally which has enormous political clout here and Ryadh is making big investments in Pakistan, especially Gwadar. It is in Iran's interest not to loose Pakistan completely. :coffee:

Who are those foreign forces? and what's the link with our territory?
Contrary the hassasins we apprehended, were trained on Iranian territory and found serving Indian interests.
On relationships, If Pakistanis are willing to accept acquisitions and status of client state, than may be their's a chance.
