Planet could be 'unrecognizable' by 2050, experts say

Why is this racist nonsense by the same people obsessed with race taking over all threads? How does one discuss even common issues affecting all of us when the same rants abt race, americans, defacation blah blah blah is repeated everywhere and unchecked by these programmed trojans???

Race is fundamental issue why there are so many conflicts in the World.

It is not irrelevant as some people refuse to perceive it.

One question pops to my mind:

If chinese started one child policy in '78 and assuming it to be fairly sucessful, how come China's population increased to ~1.4 Billion from 0.9 Billion in the early eighties? To my estimates, it should have been a negative growth (two person giving birth to one person).

Demographic momentum. People don't start dying the minute the 1 child policy was implemented. In fact China's median age is only 37, which means we have 40 years to go before our population starts decreasing, even if the policy is not lifted.

Well world is a big place , we barely occupy 5% of the planet earth , only along coastal lines and close to rivers , other 95% is empty
and also waters of world are also inhabited thats another 100% of earth we have not even explored.

Human Population vs Food ratios do not match up , eventually food will become hot property like gold is , if our current population trends continue of course if we have a world war 4 then yes we will have alot of deaths which will free up resources again.

But the real answer really lies in making drinkable water accessible , for farming .....and reducing the human population in Asia , and US and Europe

Vast lands in Africa could be artificially irrigated if the desire was there but since there is no global federation , it will not happen untill after a world war 4 , at least .

But the world is rich resource rich place , its just humans who have not figured out how to cultivate it

Hence my previous comment that population control is like stopping a train.

I would rather not have to see farms and cities everywhere as the only scenes on earth. Where is the fun in living in a world like this?
What about scenery, ancient architectures, space to play a game of soccer, tourist attractions etc etc.

This is what I love about Canada, so space and so much natural beauty.

New Zealand also, especially South Island.
I went to Sydney and there was no comparison, the grass there was yellow and there is not much foliage on stick like trees.

New Zealand Tourism Guide : New Zealand Travel, Accommodation, Tours, Attractions, Vacation and NZ Holiday Sites

I'll tell you, backpacking in northern Ontario, cottaging in the lake country, canoeing in Algonquin, my idea of heaven. Now I just need to be rich enough to afford all those activities.... lol

All that Canadian space is placed under environmental protection while densely populated areas all over the world have no hope of development because they lack space and resources. In a very real way, Canada values ducks, frogs and bears more than poor, illiterate, sometimes starving Human Beings. The Human Rights of ...Humans...comes 2nd to conservation for environmentalists. This is how future historians will describe countries like Canada, Australia and Russia centuries from now.
