Peace talks should not be at cost of abandoning Kabul’s foreign policy to Pakistan: Sinha

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: In the aftermath of Kabul’s struggles to bring the Taliban to the table of negotiations with the help of Pakistan, and improvement in Kabul-Islamabad ties, the Indian Ambassador to Afghanistan, Amar Sinha, said the other day that peace negotiations should not result in abandoning the control of Afghan foreign policy to Pakistan, rather the peace talks should be held considering the demands and interests of the Afghan people.

Sinha said the peace talks should not be dealt at the cost of losing the national sovereignty, and it should not be at the cost of allowing Pakistan to take control of Afghanistan’ foreign policy.

He also suggested that Kabul should deal the peace talks according to demands and interests of Afghans.

Welcoming the role of Pakistan at peace negotiation, Sinha warned if the negotiation is influenced by foreign country, the Afghans would not accept it.

He said that outfits like the Taliban, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Haqqani Network are fighting proxy war in Afghanistan on behalf of Pakistan.

He added Pakistan seemingly wants to butt India through proxy war in Afghanistan but it victimizes the Afghans.

This comes as the Afghan government has reached into a new phase of peace negotiation and Pakistan plays vital role in this regard.

No that does not mean that ....... we dont want them here in pakistan .. why would we allow them to stay in pakistan .. they should go back to Afghanistan they are not welcomed here ..
if you love Afghans that much you can take them to India , we dont mind that .
The fact is that we do like them. There are about 10,000 Afghan refugees in India and no one will ever ask them to leave. Its against our culture to go back on our words after giving someone refuge.

Finding that hard to believe considering how Biharis are viewed in Indian states.
