What a load of BS .... the truth is that no one likes them. They are just trying to make an example of this high profile Forum so that they can scare people. They know very well that they have to lock up the whole country cause most of the Awam hate them !! Kids hate them ! babies hate them ! School and University students hate them! Rather than be realistic and take ownership of their extreme Fuk Ups including having sex with the economy, Dangerous Duffers can only do duffer things !

Webby already made it clear the reasons, firstly family members in Pakistan were harassed, then investigation against PDF, webby made it clear for the members to respect the rules but noone listened so he himself is shutting the site down. If we keep PDF opened due to freedom of speech etc then people will continue to abuse it and in the future things can get very serious for the admins. Overall its not worth it for them to continue.

If we keep PDF opened due to freedom of speech etc then people will continue to abuse it and in the future things can get very serious for the admins. Overall its not worth it for them to continue.

I just hope an archive of this forum is saved, minus the posts that could provoke the armed forces against Pakistani citizens. Not that I don't respect freedom of expression.

Regardless, the establishment has grown excessively insecure, bordering on paranoia. Engaging in censorship and shutting down dissenting voices will inevitably lead to repercussions. It's 2023, employing such outdated tactics is counterproductive and will cause more harm than good. PDFers are now congregating on other platforms, and attempts to aggressively suppress criticism of Army will not quell it; instead, it will intensify and extend to other platforms.

And please don't feed us the nonsensical "Army doesn't care" mantra. If that were genuinely the case, an extremely valuable information resource like PDF wouldn't be shutting down in the first place

GOP stays, and does what it wants. If you can do anything about that then do it. I have seen Pakistanis thumping chests with I don’t care attitude and then falling like broken branches. GOP doesn’t care, it will do as it likes and wants.

Aggressively ? You mean abusing and cursing as usual which brought PDF to this stage, still repeating the same failed tactic ? Kudos to you.

It is indeed a very sad event and one that was avoidable. You have raised your issues and each is valid but it must be added that the forum was slowly descending into absolute chaos. In everything, i have found that there is a difference of method in speaking. There is a difference in saying "Please Eat" and "Stuff it into you #$%%^ mouth". The thing is that this forum slowly descended into chaos as initially it started to descend into mob rule with posters opening threads and calling for lynching of members and nationalities and those threads received massive popular support and when the same was not entertained, the mod and admins were criticized and even right now, you can see individuals calling out mods and admins as being on payroll and stuff. The descent into madness only rolled further and i remember stating quite openly that when we will have nobody else to hunt down, we will hunt each other and that is what happened. When everybody else was beaten black and blue, the internal hunts began. Political differences that were discussed with some level of civility morphed into abuses and taunts. If a member had posted something on one thread against an opinion carried by others, they would cyber bully him on other threads. If i remember correctly, it was called their patriotic duty and i also remember that this forum was presented by many to lead the patriotic imagery of the country. There were grand plans discussed and like patriotism itself, it became the cloak of the scoundrel. What was never understood was that slowly it killed the difference of opinion and eventually became a singular mouthpiece. There was only one voice that became exponentially worse when the removal of Imran Khan happened. When that happens, it stops being neutral but even that is fine. The Issue will always be, what it was before and that is the lack of civility among members. The abuse and the way they discussed any topic whatsoever. That will be the issue and that is the trigger. Yes there was an investigation and yes there is an investigation but it is not easy to create a case against a place that speaks in a civil and knowledgeable manner. When you abuse and depart from any civil nature then targeting you becomes all the more easier.

We used to criticize the army. I criticized the army here but everything was done in a civil manner. When you take pride in creation of derogatory terms then you know there is nothing left. People who are claiming this places greatness speak of a past that is long gone. When posters would post amazing threads on religious issues, political issues, legal issues and military issues. It was amazing and there was genuine effort but now, you cannot claim to look at the pyramids now and state that Egypt is great. It was great when it built the pyramids but that egypt is gone and the pyramids are history. Similarly as is this place.

It was a great place once but perhaps this is for the best. I lurked since 2009 and joined in 2011. It was amazing and this place really was exceptional. I learned so much and there were so many great posters. There was @Joe Shearer @niaz @AUSTERLITZ, his threads on military history and conflict was stuff of legends. If you want to save something then same that. @M. Sarmad, If i remember correctly his id was Azlan Haider back then, Hadees thread was very informative. @Irfan Baloch would post some great stuff and @Arsalan as well. @scorpionx was a very good indian member and hellfire as well. @SQ8 and @VCheng with their posts. Vcheng was always cryptic with his posts on how nothing will change and he would criticize the army and the pakistan foreign policy from back then but never in an abusive way. Always in a civil manner. Some really amazing times and amazing posts.. @Jungibaaz and @Chak Bamu were always at their best and truly showed the level TTA... What a time it was. That conflict thread with joe and @PanzerKiel was that last spark of the old PDF. Like the last ember of the candle before it finally goes dark. It is a heavy heart but it was very hard for me to see its downfall.



You guys are not the flavour of the month. There is a new green flavour in town right now.

There are many short comings in military that need to be addressed. Many topics were opened on those but not through cursing and abusing, showing frustration.

The depth and level of information on this website is next level and most of it an excellent source of knowledge for army enthusiasts - the pics and videos uploaded are next level and nothing compares to it.
For the army or let’s say those that have been offended by the site hasn’t seen what potential loss this site will be to enthusiasts etc - another sad loss that Pakistan may In the future regret.
