I've been in talks with some people about setting up a Pakistani history and politics discussion board - not Defense oriented but I think there certainly could be a section.

Having been here for more than a decade in various avatar, this loss will feel a bit personal. Learned a lot from here. Also a place where subcontinent people could freely connect here. Although the quality of discussion had gone down in last few years, it is still one of the best defense forums!!

Sad, but inevitable. As I have said so many times, PDF is but a microcosm of the country it aimed to represent, with the good and the bad features thereof.

I personally feel that bringing back strict rules of moderation can save this wonderful platform. Some folks blatantly violate the rules and get away with it.
The State is just like a mother, who is a bit angry at the moment.
No need to worry too much people will not disappear, will only get a slap on the wrist.

It will be helpful if we all respectfully post our opinions.

Those of us outside Pakistan can still join, and there are ways Pakistanis in Pakistan can join via VPN as well.

Please keep an archive of member email addresses for contacts to be made after the fact.

As I have said, I am willing to be a paying member to support any new site.

I think one concentrated effort by someone in the staff team might yield a better a result than sporadic messages by those who were not so active here. Though if that server actually gathers traction, do let me know. I am active on discord.
