PDF needs to discourage copy paste articles.

I understand the intention but I wonder if this will just encourage a lot of low quality posts.

It won't stop spamming, just personalise it.

I had to get the mods to constantly push back on this stuff..and one is pretty pissed off at the constant games the Chinese members play (like a bunch of 8yr olds)...since once one guy was stopped a new guy would take his place.

This is an attempt by the wumaos to censor any news that shines a negative light on China. Of course, they have no problem if their own do the same towards the US.

In fact, if it weren’t for you and I, and a couple others, this entire forum would be an infestation of Pro CCP garbage, lies, and hate.

Posting the opinion of OP along with copy-paste articles serves two purpose:
1. It clearly shows that OP understands what OP is posting.
2. It reduces the possibilities of spam/flooding as if it were a bot /troll farm by showing the human nature of the OP.

The proposal

PDF should discourage posting of copy-paste articles if the OP is not accompanied by at least a header paragraph by the OP showing the opinion of OP. It will also help to create more original contents in PDF rather than PDF is being used as a news article review site. Everyone can read an article anyway if the link is provided. Copy paste can mislead readers if it is modified in due process.

Let us practice being something else than just being lazy copy-paster.

Quality will arise from quantity when the right process is put into place. It is true that quality posts are not easy to produce.

I'm all for this. Original reporting, article material, analysis or ban.

I'm also against the rule where you are require to post an external article verbatim, without modification. People can just go, and follow a link in that case. Please, just shovel all verbatim reprints into a separate news section.
