Wow. Good to know that you spend 2.75% of GDP despite an absymal tax rate of 10.2%. Compared to us with 1.75% with 17.7% Tax to GDP ratio. We need more to defeat offending bordering enemy and their terrorist network within and outside the country. But good to know it is on track.

That means you spend 27% of Tax revenue on military, versus only 10% by us.

Where is the money coming from?
Its very funny to see you trying to preach economics (again) after being thoroughly humiliated on another thread.Stop using made up numbers. India's 2015-16 budget $298 billion, defence budget $38 billion. So India will spend 12.75% of budget on defence.
Pakistan defence budget $8.1b, total budget ( this is estimate for now) $50 billion, 16.2%.

A budget includes tax revenue and non tax revenue. Non tax revenue include deficit financing.............IMF
My post only deals with Tax-to-Defence Budget ratio which is a more suitable indicator and gives a better view as non-tax revenue is not sustainable and fluctuates wildly.

Are you a masochist? Do work at the Chasma Nuke Plant? Or can you, forget reading the content, at least read the headline? It is central governments tax-GDP ratio. States have their own tax revenue. Together it becomes 17.7%.Then at least use correct numbers.
''While the tax to GDP ratio was 10.1 per cent in FY14''
Budget 2014, Union Budget, Narendra Modi, GST | The Indian Express
India tax to GDP ratio is 10.1%![]()
