Your information is wrong. PTI had signed one of the lowest priced (as per Reuters) Long Term Lng contract at 10.2% of three months averaged Brent (ICE) with Qatar Energy in Feb 2021 and have started to import from it in November 2021.

Also seems it was magnificent idea to build LNG plants instead of coal plants (original plan)

This clause was criminal act..clealry some took alot bribes..we bought expensive gas from them for months hoping for cheaper gas when tables turned and they simoly defaulted

LNG is more expensive first converting gas to liquid then transported in a special ship then reconvert into gas all of it costs extra money
