our public transport facilities and infrastructure are what need more attention i think....as it is, traffic congestion is becoming a problem --look at Karachi

but again, for other areas a highly economical and affordable vehicle that can carry stuff and transport people would be tremendous....especially one that is domestically built

I wish these guys the best of luck; they are proof that when you put your mind to something then nothing wud stop u from attaining your dreams

I know the difference mate.

If you look around a bit you will realize that there are many innovations made by students out of their own pocket money because they thought outside the box.. what these students are doing here is simple recreation of a technology that already exists, and even so their creation has no practical use.

It's a one seater hybrid (consumes electricity + fuel) vehicle that gives a top speed of 35 kmph. Being hybrid, people are completely overlooking the fact that it ALSO consumes electricity to power it's motor, and the cost of electricity adds up to the total cost per km.

People have made completely solar powered cars as projects and even race them against other solar powered cars that actually do more than 35 kmph (100% solar powered).

Why it is so hard for indian fellows to digest the fact that innovation exists in Pak?.. every time such a thread is started they show up with their trolls.

This car was basically developed for a competition held in Malaysia "Shell Eco marathon" .. Various universities from all over Pakistan participated therein.. see below:

Hopefully Pakistan Govt and industrialists shall support this to make it commercial.. InshaAllah..

BTW being a graduate from NUST and same college i really feel proud..
