Seriously though, these rankings are not really important, since most visa arrangements are reciprocal. Many countries want tighter control over their visitors for many different reasons, and in turn get reduced access to other countries, and vice versa.

This all passport thing is a new world order. Once u remove Islamic from Islamic republic of Pakistan and accept choti topi , Pakistan passport will be on no. 2 or 3 . Plus i still agree with one of the comments above our people disappear once they land.

This thread typifies the Pakistani mindset. Pakistanis blaming the west or others for their rankings when the truth is that not even their ummah countries offer visas on arrival for Pakistanis including 'brother' Turkey or Malaysia. They offer it to other countries but not Pakistan.

Heck, higher than himalaya, deeper than ocean friend China doesn't offer this to Pakistan but offers it to other countries.

We should try to improves this but its a bit of a rubbish metric....how many Pakistanis actually travel to Paraguay or Iceland. Visa free travel would be a moot point to these countries.

I always found having to get a transit visa for the UK for travel to the USA to be very annoying for travel on PIA. More reason to go on ME carriers . UK and USA made travel from Pakistan difficult after war on terror. Other countries in the western camp followed suit. Give it a decade and restrictions will be relaxed, IMO.

We should focus more on how many countries our exports go to. Its a more important metric.

there are many reasons of our weak passport but one important among all......... a country visa free access to the national of other countries is to promote tourism. they want other nationals to come to their country, spend money, strengthen their economy and go back to their home countries.

the reason Pakistani passport is one of the weakest is their overstaying habit. most of the Pakistanis have an intentions to overstay in the country they are travelling to and earn some money there. they ultimately want to settle down there and get their status legalized.

other than that our economy is weak we have nothing much to offer to world, we have no media networks which support us internationally and project our positive face even our govt dont bother to launch a proper english news channel similar to TRT or Aljazera, we need some homework seriously which i am not seeing in near future

The first question that countries consider before issuing a visa is… will the person enter the country with the of leaving? The truth is... Poor people from developing countries have a difficult time obtaining visas because other countries fear he will not leave.

Another issue is that while Turkey would joyfully embrace Pakistanis, Pakistanis utilise it as a gateway to Europe.

there is a lot more to just visa free travel. If our GDP was around 15,000usd per capita you will see that Pakistani would have been able to travel to 50% countries without a visa
