heart is not a vertical 2-D structure,therefore the size has to be compared in terms of area.

Volume. 1-d is length, 2-d is area, 3-d is volume.

Yep. Unfortunately, our tribal instincts almost always take precedence over our human instincts. So it's usually 'my tribe v/s others'.

He's hindu hence people came forward to help him, what if he was a muslim Pakistani. Quite a few members from other side of the border will be thinking but won't type it.

Speak for yourself. I have personally donated my blood in India and outside, and I did not care who the recepient was. Most people I know would be glad to donate blood if that means saving a human life. Admittedly there are a few bigots who would only donate to their chosen group, but most people don't belong to that group.

In most cases, blood donors do not ask whether the recepients would be Indians or Pakistanis or something else, hindus or muslims or mormons or something else. Most youngsters I know donate blood every once in a while in the hopes of doing some good for humankind. So no need to thank them for saving the life of a Pakistani in particular - we all bleed red, although we like to pretend that we bleed saffron or green.

I have myself donated blood many times in India and a few times outside India, and have organized blood donation camps. (One of which became the largest such initiative in the country upto that time.) I don't care about the religion or nationality of the recepients, and neither did any of the donors or the workers.
