Xinhua News Agency, Islamabad, December 5 (Reporter Liu Tian) Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said on the 5th that the Pakistani government is considering comprehensive measures to control the country's rapid population growth.
Imran Khan said at the symposium on "worrying population growth in Pakistan" jointly organized by the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the health department that the normal population growth rate brought many serious problems, including the destruction of the natural environment,reducing of the area of cultivated land and threatening of food security.
Imran Khan said that the Pakistani government has set up relevant working groups to formulate measures to control population growth, including the distribution of contraceptives and education to raise family planning awareness.

At the symposium, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Nisal, called on all sectors of society to unite in controlling population issues. He said that if the population continues to grow too fast, the resources that the country will use will continue to decrease, which will ultimately affect the country's economic growth and people's living standards.

Nisal warned that if the government does not control it, the population of Pakistan will reach 450 million in 30 years.
According to official figures released by Pakistan, Pakistan currently has about 207 million people, and Pakistani women have 3.6 children per capita.

Uighurs and Mongolians as well as tibetain chineses have relatively higher birth rate(their 2.5 to 3.2 compared to han chinese 0.8 to 1.6 per family) ,the single child policy apply to han chinese and particularly citizen han chinese living in cities only!
In CHINA rural areas and minority areas,single child policy does not work!
You guys do not know this?!??

Single child policy has been completedly and in full abandoned in 2015(partially abandoned a few year ago in 2011 and 2013),although 1child policy never worked in minority areas and rural areas.

You never heared uyghur or mongolians or tibetains chinese complain about the 1 child policy,why,coz this policy does not apply to them

And minority chinese has full scholarship when they registered into college and universities,weatern media ever reported those!!!??
When I was in East China normal University studing French,I met a lot of kind uyghur chinese freinds,to my surprise they do not need to pay the 5000RMB yuan(as of in 2007,doubled or triple today more like around 15000 YUAN RMB as tuition fee today)per year and get life allowance every month.
I once for a while,thought that is not fair coz my Han parents from Anhui province are also poor family why they get things free just coz he is a minority chinese?!? The uyghur guy is a really nice guy though.

Isn't family planning considered haram by Islam?

Zakir naik has only 2 children..he might not be using contraceptives,but definitely he is taking some care to not have more than 2..if contraceptives or birth control operation is a problem,they should see to it that ejaculation doesn't happen in the vagina.

Except for states like UP and Bihar you wouldn't find a Muslim couple with more than 2 or 3 children in India.We are influenced by the society we are living in...

To be honest ,Muslims also started adopting family planning measures...at least in south..I never saw. A family in which the elder child is 20 has more than 3 kids these days...many families even have just 2 kids

A family with more than three children or above is really a huge burden,if you want them all to go to college and university,it would cost you a millions yuan or even more !
Chinese Parents also need to buy an appartment or at least pay the first advance of the said appatment for their son,even more expensive!

Your insult to pakistani is ignored but education is always the best investment parents can grant to their children.
Chinese parents tend to eat dirt but still insist to let their children go to univeristies !
The life of a farmer(chinese farmer has kittle lands) and an educated man with a PHD or master degree ,although enjoy the same dignity they deserve,are really different!
