ISLAMABAD: Commerce Minister, Khurram Dastgir Khan has said Pakistan would soon ink Free Trade Agreements (FTA) with Turkey, Thailand and Korea.

He was talking to media after having a meeting with All Pakistan Textile Mills Association in Lahore. He said the FTAs would also help exporting sector including textile to increase their exports.

He said, there should be zero rated tax on textile and other exporting sectors, while there should not be any sort of provincial taxes on these sectors.

Khurram Dastgir said government wants to make Pakistan major exporting country and to double the textile export from thirteen billion to twenty six billion dollars.

Good news

I hope they would also have strategy to export goods to these nations.

I think we should have inked FTA agreement with Turkey long ago but knowing about South Korea and Thailand is a pleasant surprise

Nothing to laugh about

India actually have FTA agreements with many of its major trading partners. You know the ASEAN alone consists of 10 member states having signed FTA with India and it includes Indonesia

Their economic policies of past is the reason for amazing growth rate in present. We have just started improving bilateral relationship with key nations around the world
