Even I am seeing pakistani oils in UAE market.. almond oil and black seed oil are available in plenty and people are buying them.
They've been there for long. But no olive oil, not even back in Pakistan.

You are right.. they have been there for long.. but lately I am seeing them in Lulu, which is an Indian owned market.. and are available in plenty.They've been there for long. But no olive oil, not even back in Pakistan.
Now lets go for value added dairy products, like cheese and cream etc. and cut down on their imports. maybe even start exporting few years down the line.
it is surprising that despite being an agricultural country we still import edible oil and seeds worth 4 billion USD.

Olives are perfect for our country. They grow in semi arid conditions, the oil can be used in our own cooking, it can be exported abroad (hopefully as a Pakistani brand not just raw product) and the fruit is delicious too. Had olives rubbed in harissa in Morocco - amazing!
