Pakistan, strategic sites & stealth technology

but i hope after studying that radar for many months we atleast have gained a lot of know-how about the tech and may be we should pass it on to Chinese to copy it in case US don't allow Pakistan to have a possession of it

We always do that dont we..:smokin::devil:

According to HAL chairman A.K. Baweja shortly after the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Committee meeting on 18 September 2008, the Russian aircraft will be a single-seater, the Indian FGFA will be a twin seater, analogous to the Su-30MKI which is a twin seat variant of the baseline Su-27. Two separate prototypes will be developed, one by Russia (designated the T-50), and a separate one by India (designated FGFA).

well surely it helped us develop a set of parameters and requirements.....it was a demo unit, meaning we cant open it up and examine the components. It had to be returned

Sir, India is going for the Russian Pak-Fa, not the J-20 which is Chinese jet. J-20 is the adversary of India.

Indians say they will get the Pak-Fa in service by 2015 or 2017-18.

Yes sir, you are correct, my mistake. But my point was simply that the timeline for these new birds (T-50, J-20) seems a bit optimistic. When hi tech gets rushed, it usually has some serious teething issues, and if a hundred jets roll off the line with a fundamental flaw that went undetected, it can be a very serious problem.

Best option is to have as many strategic locations as possible so that assets are spread on number of locations, plus they should be underground, well camouflaged and hard to be detected.

What's the use ?? We already have the nukes on mobile assets and spread all over the country and destroying the plants won't make any difference, even missile launching capability is both mobile as well as stationary bases, so how many can they destroy. If they attack nuke plants, they will be damaged themselves due to radiation leak as well as we will reciprocate in the same manner.

2015 seems a very hard target to be achieved. Plus, Chinese option would always be on the table, if deemed necessary, we can have the Chinese option and the Chinese would be gladly helping us in keeping the balance, and even then 4th or 4th+ gen fighters with us would be enough to deliver strikes to the enemy.

Well this is the million dollar question, how to detect stealth, and as of now, we can't say anything if we have something about it or are looking at something. Time will tell.

Against 5th gen fighters, best bet would be to destroy / damage as many of them as possible on the ground whenever you could or equip your 4th+ gen fighters with infra red seeking devices so that they can detect heat signatures as far as possible and have a chance to fight with their own RCS reduced to the minimum to come close to the 5th gen fighters without them knowing.

Is it true that Russian S-400 can detect 5th gen stealth fighters ?
If not, S-500 ( in development ) definitely can . But Pak-Russia relations are low-level. The two countries relations are not upto that level where Russia can say to India, IF U can buy from US , France, We can sell to Pak.

Forget about the fcuking wars needless to say that India don't have balls enough to attack us...Just for now we concentrate on educating ourselves + we increase our exports & get Zardari out of Presidential chair!

We have to concentrate in advance to retaliate every possible attack from any side. We have to ensure over current capabilities & ready to face next generation technologies.
