In Pakistan we can see people debating on how molvis are spreading hate and creating issues for the country. They are blamed for muslims bad performance and lag in the fields of science and technology. But no body have ever noticed that all those who did that are millionare molvis who are getting money through donations and sometimes through peeri mureedi.
But that doesn't even make 1% of the molvis. The other 99% are suffering.
In Pakistan thousands graduate from madrassas every year. After graduating they get into the real life where they have earn money and feed their children, but our society fail to provide them with any job or help, so that his children may not face the same fate as he is suffering from.
In our every street or colony there are mosques built by the locals and local hire a molvi for th mosque. Now the real dark side of our society starts here. The molvi had to stay in mosque for whole day for 5 prayers and he can't do any job with his current job.
The molvis, which are imam and lead us in prayers are not even paid Rs 10,000 and in some cases they are paid Rs 3000 or less. He had to feed his children in that money. He can't send them to schools, he will be forced to send them to madrassa and his children will await the same future as his father.
Despite such harsh conditions, these people never spread any hate nor extremism. But our actions may make their children extremists and terrorists.
I am writing it to spread awareness using this forum, after i met an imam which is given only Rs 3000 by the ahle mahala.
