Let’s see if Pakistan is able to sell its Arnabgate story. Just one doubt though? If Pakistan was so good at selling stories, why is it still in FATF grey list. I hope answer would be an informed one and not an attempt to troll and sideline the question.

Indian opposition parties called on Monday for an investigation into chat messages from a top TV anchor that they said showed prior knowledge of air strikes carried out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government against Pakistan in 2019.
Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV network, told the head of a TV ratings agency that India would launch a “bigger than a normal strike” on Pakistan — three days before Indian jets trespassed into Pakistani territory and dropped their payload in Balakot.
The intrusion brought the two nations to the brink of war.
“On Pakistan, the government is confident of striking in a way that people will be elated,” a transcript of the messages sent by Goswami said. “Exact words used.”
The messages, reported by Indian media and seen by Reuters, are part of a charge-sheet filed by police in Mumbai investigating alleged fixing of ratings by Republic TV — charges the network denies.
Goswami denied prior knowledge of the air strikes, which were carried out weeks after an attack on an Indian paramilitary convoy in the Pulwama district of Indian-occupied Kashmir.
“India's intention to hit back at Pakistan after the Pulwama attack was an officially stated position,” he said in a statement released by Republic.
“There was no doubt in any nationalist Indian's mind that we would hit back,” he added, accusing opposition parties of acting as a “mouthpiece” for Pakistan.
Spokesmen for India's defence and foreign ministries did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the transcripts.
Republic has often adopted positions supportive of the Modi government and Goswami is known for his aggressive attacks on the opposition in his prime-time nightly programme, one of the country's most watched.
India's main opposition Congress party, as well as Shiv Sena, a regional party that governs Maharashtra state where the TV channel is based, have both called for a government inquiry into the messages.
Shashi Tharoor, a Congress lawmaker, said the messages required “serious inquiry” by the Modi government, which has made national security a top priority.
Commenting on the transcripts, the Foreign Office in Islamabad said on Sunday the messages showed the strikes were engineered to coincide with a general election that Modi won by a landslide a few months later.
@El Sidd
I distinguish between BJP and congress. And unlike many Pakistanis, I don't consider Indians to be one type of people. For me, no one is Indian. It's just a friend or an enemy in my neighborhood.
And why are you complaining about someone changing the topic when it was you who did that first?Name of this thread is “Pakistan seeks world action against India on ‘false flag’ Pulwama attack”.
But look the FMs here and their effort to not answer anything about this thread. They veer off to to everything else other than the name of this thread.
It is Pakistan that is seeking something. Before Pakistan seeks and gets what it wants, it needs to save its own skin from FATF.
India will keep the pressure On. No mercy there.
My apologies. I would be careful about that in the future.when it was you who did that first
Maybe along with demanding action. We should just intensify the randi rona(narrative building like İndia did) and build a solid state of mind that becomes cemented in the world mindset.Pakistan seeks world action against India on ‘false flag’ Pulwama attack

ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan on Sunday asked the international community to hold India accountable for vitiating the regional security environment after leaked WhatsApp conversation of Indian anchor Arnab Goswami confirmed that Pulwama attack was a "false flag" operation to ensure the re-election of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Foreign Office said in a statement that the chat made public by Mumbai police as part of its investigations into the manipulation of TV ratings vindicated Pakistan's stance.
According to ThePrint, a New Delhi-based online newspaper, the exchange between Goswami and then Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) chief executive Partho Dasgupta over WhatsApp, a multiplatform messaging application, revealed that Modi and his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) administration had planned the air strike, just before the election, in a way that would ‘elate’ the people.
At least 40 Indian paramilitary troops were killed in an attack took place in February 2019 in Pulwama just weeks before the Indian parliamentary elections.
India was quick to blame Pakistan for the attack and rejected repeated offers of co-operation by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Just days after the Pulwama attack, India sent its fighter jets across Pakistan, for the first time since 1971 war, dropping bombs in a hurry when chased out by Pakistani fighter jets.
India media and authorities claimed killing 250 to 300 terrorists in Jaba area of Balakot. But those claims were not only rebuffed by Pakistan but also international media outlets, which found no such evidence. In reaction to the Indian air strikes, Pakistan retaliated the very next day, shooting down two Indian planes of which one fell on this side of Line of Control (LoC). Pakistan captured the Indian pilot but freed him soon to avoid further escalation.

Modi used the Pulwama attack and Balakot so called strikes to woo the domestic audience as part of his election campaign.
Now the revelation from the leaked chat by the leading Indian TV anchor, who is known for being funded by the ruling BJP, confirmed that Pulwama attack was staged to amplify Modi's election bid.
"In recent months, the world community has been presented with irrefutable evidence of India’s state-sponsorship of terrorism against Pakistan and anti-Pakistan disinformation and smear campaign globally," the foreign office said in the statement.
"The transcripts included in the Mumbai police charge-sheet against the Republic TV anchor in the TRP case have further exposed India’s sinister designs and vindicated Pakistan’s long held position," it added.
It said the latest revelations further confirmed what Pakistan had consistently pointed out: The BJP government stages “false flag” operations; maligns Pakistan with terrorism-related allegations; stokes hyper-nationalism in the country; claims to have launched so-called “surgical strike”; and then deviously manipulates national sentiment in its bid to win elections. The pattern is unmistakable, and has been repeated to suit the RSS-BJP regime’s electoral calculations.
"We had, at the outset, rejected India’s malicious propaganda against Pakistan and highlighted that the biggest beneficiary of the Pulwama attack in February 2019 was the BJP government, as it secured landslide victory in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. The transcripts provide further evidence of how this whole enterprise from ‘false flag’ operation to massive electoral success was scripted and fully realised."

It further said the transcripts also illustrated the unholy nexus between the ‘Hindutva’ regime and its cronies in the Indian media.
"On the one hand, they show how far and deeply the extremist agenda of the RSS-BJP combine has permeated India’s institutions and pillars of the state. On the other hand, they show how the rights and freedoms of Indian citizens and democratic values in Indian society are being seriously jeopardised through cynical manipulation. Equally important, they show how actions of this reckless regime driven by considerations of domestic politics are gravely imperilling regional peace and security."
The statement also said Pakistan, for its part, will continue to counter Indian falsehoods with truth and act firmly and responsibly in the face of New Delhi’s provocations.
"We hope that the international community would take full cognisance of the situation and hold India accountable for its actions vitiating the regional environment and endangering peace and security in South Asia," the statement concluded.

In last two years since Pulwama and Balakot, IK and his team must have given hundreds of interviews and public addresses at various forums including the UN, blaming India for everything bad in Pakistan. Latest in the list is the charge of playing a role in impounding its plane in Malayasia.
I am still waiting to see anyone standing with Pakistan after this display of “Randi Rona”. I am quoting this word because few FMs here have propensity for cuss words due to lack of belief in civilised language. Has this Randi Rona and cementing of belief got it out of FATF list? No.
Impact? Modi was honoured with its highest civilian award by UAE. Saudi decided to invest billions in India. OIC has sidelined Pakistan to a large extent. QUAD and few other things are in a different league all together.
Randi Rona by Pakistan was ignored by everyone because Randi Rona may convince its own population but not educated and well informed diplomats and nations across the world.
My take is that Randi Rona has a lot of limitations. It hasn’t given any results for Pakistan in so many decades and wouldn’t do that in future too. Do proper diplomacy with solid groundwork.
Modi in his various interactions in the last few years has not even mentioned names of few countries and that includes Pakistan and China. No point in mud slinging because that has no value. I know that few people will jump in glee on this and claim that he is a coward and scared of naming the adversaries. If taking names was any indication of bravado then IK would have already been given the highest award for that.
Bottom line - Save your Randi Rona for some other time. This charge of “False Flag operation” by Pakistan is unlikely to cause any ripples.
